    Hey All -

I replaced my front struts/coils with Detroit Axle and rear struts as well. Currently my rear is still saggy - about 1" less than front. Front - ground to fender is sitting at about 34.75". Rear is about 33.5". Should I want the rear up to the same height - should I replace with the 99' tall rear coil springs or with 2001 coil springs - I'm going OEM springs, not looking to lift - just want it even. I guess I was hoping replacing the coils would give it that extra lift in the back but I don't know which ones to get.

My tires are 30" on 15" stock wheels.

    What are your thoughts?

So 15 inch wheels will clear a third gen’s brakes?
    The steel rims?

These are stock 15”wheels with 30” tires on them. Alloy not steel and clear just fine.

Not sure what you mean. My rear is sagging and Im going to replace springs now as the struts alone didn’t help. Im trying to figure out if the 99 springs would be better or just go with the OEM height for 2001 year.

I have these in CO which I would like to sell with local pickup. Looks like they fit 2003 and up 4Runners and you may be not local to CO. May not fit your 2001 I guess.

4Runners do not use struts, neither front or back.

They also have nothing to do with supporting weight; coils do that.

If you're carrying some extra weight, go for '99 coils otherwise go for OEM coils for your model year.

    Easy stuff.
