What have you done to your 5th Gen 4Runner today?

Added the Eibach Pro stage 1 lift and Falken 255/80/17 pizza cutters. Digging every part of it!

 

Now for mods!!!!!!!

 

And hood scoop decals and mountain pillar decals and rock sliders and skids and a roof rack and....and..and ... So many activities!!!!!!!!

 

All joking aside! Congratulations!!!

 

Not pushing those decals are we? I kid.

Finally have black roof rails on her

 

I changed the transmission oil today. It had 32,000 miles on it, a fair amount of off roading, and i was starting to feel subtle change in shift quality.

I managed to not screw anything up. And now the shifting feels factory fresh!


the 2x10 boards were very nice to lift it up a smidge and made it pretty comfy to work on underneath.

 

would love to see some more shots from front and rear angles. Looks great...I’ve been intrigued by 255s but haven’t made up my mind yet. I’m surprised they seem to pooch over the wheels more than I thought they would.

 

Here's a few in the driveway. They fit perfectly on the Eibach Pro stage 1 lift. Zero rubbing. All tire within the well and mudflaps. No hate for 285 but I'm really happy with the profile of 255s. Gives a nostalgic look like historical ORVs.

 

Got back from the SW (3 week trip) last Saturday PM. Washed "Blue Beast", changed oil, ordered new air filter (thought I had a spare in the garage but can't find it), reset maintenance required light. The cooler/fridge worked well, learned the GPS (also worked well) on the trip.

Wife's RAV sat unused while we were gone, so I charged the battery up. Taking the wife and the pup for a drive after I go get some blood drawn for tests.

 

30k rear differential fluid change. Amsoil!

 

Installed a Power Tray system with a Garmin power switch and blue sea distro & ground bus. Now I need to find a closed barrel deutsche crimper that isn't a pile of chineseum and the real fun begins. But at least I wont have to pass a bunch of wires into the cabin unless I need them in there.

love those wheels! FN overlanders? I was drooling over those, but I dont think they make them anymore

 

How much front lift? Control arms?

 

2.75 front and 1" in rear. Leveled it out and no UCA or Diff drop required.

 

What does your alignment look like

 

Zero complaints. Tracks well on freeway driving and ruts and it's nimble in corners. The suspension upgrade certainly helps with reduced roll in cornering but the 255s are great. I've read that10 ply tires feel heavy when breaking but I can't say I notice that at all compared to the stock tires.

I haven't messed with pressure yet, just what they set at the tire shop.

 

I don't have the specs but we have a great shop in our spot and they said it's in perfect alignment. Prob not what your looking for but I trust them.

 

Ok. I'm running the same rear springs as u but 1.75 front. Still working on alignment

 

Looks good, pizza cutters have been gaining popularity as of late.

 

Just finished a 4200 mile road trip… she needs a bath and a full interior detail now!!
