I am looking for a cargo mat that stays in place and works well. Any suggestions? I have looked at the Toyota OEM version, and it seems to be pretty rigid/stiff. The WeatherTech cargo mat seems to be a little cheap these days and the lip might get caught on things. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance!

I ended up buying the oem rubber mat. Works for my situation where Im fishing and dealing with sand from the beach. I do not have a sliding tray on my Pro.

also, i had the Husky and it was just terrible.

I’ve got the OEM mat, no complaints. My 4R came with the rear mat and the all weather floor mats.

No idea about aftermarket cargo cover but oem one slides back a little even with stuff on it. Not annoying but noticed.

As for rubber mats in front I like Husky over OEM ones. Husky are miles ahead of OEM.

I had a 2013 Toyota FJ Trail Teams before I got the 4Runner. I bought a thick rubber cargo mat for it from Toyota. It was rubber, and actually would bend. It didn't move around. It stayed in place. It was great. I don't think Toyota sells that for the 4Runner. All the OEM mats I have seen and aftermarket mats seem to be more plastic and stiff and thus they slide around. The WeatherTech is a thin plastic, and is more stiff than what I would call rubber. It really isn't rubber. I guess I want to get the correct mat the first time. These mats look interesting. But I have no idea what they are like in person. The Oedro is the first link below, and has a video on the Amazon web site. This might be the best one I have seen. As it bends, rolls up, and looks to be more rubber vs plastic. ?

Update: I ordered the OEDRO cargo mat from Amazon Prime. It was $78 plus tax. I will let you know what I think about it. Note that I can return this to Amazon with no charge if I don't like it. The reviews on Amazon for this cargo mat are very positive and there are pictures from 4Runner owners. It looks really good and several reviews say that it doesn't slide around when you are putting things into the back cargo area. You can also cut out the areas for the D-rings.

WeatherTech cargo mat: Many years ago I had a Subaru Forrester and bought the WeatherTech cargo mat for it. This mat has a lip on it and it would get caught on my bike when I took it out of the Subaru. That was frustrating.

I ordered the OEDRO from Amazon. It isn't perfect, but it is a lot better vs the WeatherTech cargo mat. The OEDRO fits perfectly in the cargo area and it will protect the carpet back there. You have to cut slits in the mat in order to pull the D-rings through the mat so you can use them. That shouldn't be too difficult.

Only thing I didn’t like about my weather tech rear cargo mat was that it shipped rolled up and took a while to ‘flatten’. My oem one lays in the basement unused.
