What is the purpose of this ?

What's this for? My wife says it's to hold pens or large coins.

 

Coin slot for tool booths, pay phones and to toss pennies out the window at tail gaters......

consider yourself lucky. The OR and pro versions have a smaller version that only holds short pens and regular coins.

Or ketchup, either in packet or loose form.

 

Prefect for holding a roll of Life Savers.

I have my HikeIt throttle controller stuck there and thats where I put my AirPods. They are in a silicone case so not sliding or rattling. Its a pretty handy space for my needs.

 

Ah the quarterly "what is this for" thread re: console tray.

No one knows its actual purpose; it is for whatever you want to put into it.

 

Toyota Put it there so everyone ask "what is this for?" I can just now see the smirk on the design engineer face who drew that in the center console and got away with it.

 

Future mod, or older mold for another model.. Do the ends come out and give you access to screws?
Put a sticker there..
