Checked it out - ordered it and it’s already got a shipping label created - in less than an hour since I placed the order. It’ll be here Wednesday. thanks for posting this. I have wasted a lot of $ trying to find a decent mount. This looks like the final one!!

They told me that they would be working on 2020+ design later this year. Looks like a quality holder.

Its a cool mount. It reminds me of 67 Designs for Jeeps. I doubt I will swap out my ProClip which is also a really good solution for the 4R.

Kind of pricey for a phone mount.

There are a bunch of options that don’t work or cost more so if this works like they say, it’s money well spent, to me. Currently have the Weathertech cup holder option which is ok but takes up a cup holder. I was happy to see this good review on what looks like a solid product.

I've been through a few and I've learned that I don't like suction cup mounts, and I don't like having to look down to my cupholder to see the screen when navigating. It's less than 1/3 the price of the fashionable plate-screwed-to-your-radio-bezel types that are currently the thing. And being milled aluminum, it's quite stout.

I did order one before my post, it does look to be a well built mount. I guess $92.27 after tax & shipping made me look twice lol.

Dang. I don’t remember mine being that much, but maybe I ordered in a drunken stupor.

Edit: $85.37 for me after shipping and taxes. Zoiks!

That does indeed look like a great holder. I too will have to wait for the 2020+. Thanks for posting.

Does the clamp leave any evidence of anything ever being installed on the vent, or it is padded?

    Thanks in advance.

It’s got dense foam padding on both sides.

Thank you. Good to know the mount won’t damage the dashboard.

I guess the mount doesn't work on 2010+ models due to no cd slot after 2019...and will prevent insertion of a cd, if anyone uses those anymore.

I like the looks, functionality, mounting, and the fact that it doesn't block the vents. I think I'll look at ordering one.

I believe the CD can still be inserted with this installed.

Unfortunately not, but I haven't ever used the CD player in my 4R, so not a loss for me.

Look awesome, I had a vent installed holder in my Taco that I loved, can’t wait to see a 2022 compatible version.

Do you have to take the cradle off the ball mount in order to load a cd? I'm only curious as my wife loves her cd listening on trips...

I'd be interested in seeing a closeup photo of the bottom of that clamp on the cd slot if you're up to it...

It’s kind of hard to get a good shot of the slot without a light shining directly in it, but here is some shots. I have the arm for the ball mount adjusted up to have clearance.

Thanks. You've shown it's totally doable to still use the cd function. I appreciate the photos.

FYI, I have a 2021 OR and reached out to OffRoam to inquire about a version to fit. The responded that they are working on one now that should be in production by late summer. They added me to an email list for notification when it’s ready.

    Cheers,

Got mine - what a nice product. Hubby and I are always impressed when things are packaged well (like iPhones) and OffRoam did not disappoint! Installation was super easy, non-invasive and so many different positional options! Great quality product and looking forward to many years of use!!

Phone mount installed, very easy. I did have to remove my carbon fiber center console trim piece, though, the clamp wouldn't quite work with that. It clamped ok, but the angle was wrong, and it wouldn't stay put. No big deal, I had been considering taking that off for some time.

I was right, the material and finish is exactly like the Precision shifter knobs.
    IMG_1578[1].jpg IMG_1579[1].jpg IMG_1580[1].jpg

Sorry for the crappy photos, there was too much glare. I've since mounted it closer to the driver's side, similar to the way @SlvrSlug has it shown above. The nicest thing is, this is almost infinitely adjustable as to where you want it to be.

I'm very happy with the quality, look, and functionality of this device.
