Ordered my LFD Off road ruggedized crossbars bundle yesterday, and just got my shipping confirmation. Was expecting more of a lead-time on these so I'm pleasantly surprised. Glad they're coming in first, because I also ordered an awning and room from Ironman4x4 yesterday - couldn't pass up their 4th of July sale.

It took 8 months but they finally got here. I didn't have good luck with Fox on my Tacoma so I hope these do better. SPC uppers come in today and I'm waiting on Shock Security locks.

Seriously a security lock for your shocks? Is shock theft really a thing? I had to look and man was I surprised. http://www.shocksecurity.com/

When people steal I seriously wonder why! I understand others may struggle but that doesn’t justify theft. Then to go through such great lengths to steel is amazing!

In our country, people steal because they're greedy and too lazy to earn something themselves. Also I'm in Derpiforna so even worse because we don't prosecute so I'll take the extra precaution.

Yeah in that case protect it for sure. Granted there has to be a max price clause. (eg: someone steals over $500 they can be prosecuted) sad to say! Glad I don’t live there. I have family there though and they want out. Maybe that is the plan all along to get everyone to want to leave.

Just measured stock rear coils (left over from TRD ORP non KDSS) to see if there is any height difference since Ironman springs does not specify driver / passenger side for springs. Looks like they are same. I guess I should expect my Limited to be leveled after install too.

Any updates on this? I typically ignore anything Entune but saw that same prompt and figured I’d check it out. It’s such an irritating system especially when hubby and daughter have apple play and make fun of me…….

    Did a couple things recently.
1-Sick of the faded panels. Painted.
2-Installed the Baxter spin-on oil filter adapter.
3-Filter hangs too low for stock skid plate, so made a baby plate from aluminum just for the filter.
Its a 2WD road warrior that will never go off road, so some frontal protection was all I really wanted.

Just a little thing. Had the door edge guards on the front doors. Grabbed some black ones and used touch up paint to paint them MGM and installed on the rear doors.

Sorry that happened. I don’t mean to judge but watch out for that hi lift. I would open the door next time (just in the event something happens you don’t want to have strange damage to the door).

A hi lift jack is not made for how you are using it, get yourself a proper jack to use when changing tires. You are using it in an unsafe manner.

Huh? Not that hi lift jacks are safe to start with but as long as the slider is solid, I’m not seeing the issue. He’s jacking on the best possible surface. Maybe a little closer to the slider. If it were me, I’d have left the tire in and towed it.

He's not wrong they are pretty dangerous, but also he has the tire under the slider which is basically the safety net. I personally use my hi lift to jack the vehicle by the wheel with the adapter, then use the bottle jack as a jack stand.

They are dangerous if used incorrectly. That is why they have a bad wrap. It appears he used it properly. I only suggested he open the door in the event it slid I wouldn't want him to mess up his door. Otherwise he has a firm and solid foundation, he is on rock sliders in a good spot. So he is totally fine.

I used mine to move a 20’ by 12’ shed. Learned from the people installing my shed as that is what they use. Darn thing is amazing! But gotta be careful!

Odds are I didn't tighten the lug nuts enough after changing my rear brake pads last week. Two weeks ago I had my tires rotated, so maybe it is possible they torqued them too much. A couple days later I took a couple hard undercarriage hits on a 4Lo trail (Fordyce Trail). But it was my front skid taking the hits, so I don't think that was the problem. Last week I changed my rear brake pads. A couple days later it was feeling mushy, so I checked the lugnuts with my fingers and thought they were ok. So yeah, pretty sure it was me, FML. Good news is only damage was the wheel, which can be buffed out, lol, and the lug nuts.

And thanks, everyone for the hi lift advice. They are dangerous, so it's good to refresh everyone's knowledge. The open door tip was new to me, but makes sense. And keep your body parts out of the "arc o' death." Also, the tow truck gave me a discount for taking the wheel off already. He used a 4x4 to get it on the truck.
