I finally got my wheels in and installed yesterday. I saw them on another members ride and he had the bronze (which are dope) but I had the bronze TRD wheels for almost 2 years and wanted something different. Saw his wheels and looked into them and they had them in a polished option and I knew that's what I wanted. I need to do some trimming on the bumper and the body mount chop is needed but I'm stoked on how it turned out.

Who cares? This never shows everything anyway.
You mean the custom ones with the replacement caps with built in fans? OMG, they're soooooooooooooooo goooooooooooooooooood. You're going to love them. Yeah, LEDs in halogen housings might not be the best idea all the time, but they made it work this time. I never touch my high beams, and I've never been flashed for using them.

Consider getting the trunk lights, too. It really transforms the trunk area at night. Way easier to see what you need in the trunk. Super practical.

Yeah, I got a discount on the trunk lights because I've sung the praises of the headlights so much, so I'm not really sponsored but I did get a discount, and I still think they're great. I also got the backup lights. They're okay. There's nothing wrong with them. They just don't have the world changing factor of the headlights and the trunk lights.

After putting the inside back together to reduce the dent on the quarter panel took advantage to improve a few things. Of those, the most time-consuming but hopefully for the better replaced the wood bed slats with aluminum slats. Done in three sections so that the middle (before picture) can be used as a table from both sides during bad weather outside. Each section is hinged to access below. Thus far, while adding about 1/2" additional height and ~25-30 lbs than previously built. However, the aluminum is much sturdier and slides open and close much easier. Time will tell.

Not long as long as you have all the tools needed. If you know what your doing a couple of hours. Filling the diffs and transfer case by pump is what takes the longest. Just make sure you get new crush washers.

Will do. Been on vacation this week and we drive the Camry when we have my daughter. Basically my Runner has been sitting in the garage the last two weeks.

I am so pumped about them. They seem so good! I really like the dual fan(on the light and the dust cover). I will definitely look into those. I really want to get the Meso red/white map lights since we camp inside the Runner. But I will check those out as well.

the grille always bothered me and i feel vindicated when i noticed it was some weird bolt on thing. even that trd badge that the paint fell off of was a bolt on. i saved them if you want them for your runner!

LOL, not the metal inserts or fake TRD badge. You can recycle those, thanks for offer anyway. I was talking about stock grill bar and Toyota badge. Like I said sorry for opinion I knew you wouldn't like but know is honest one. Don't take offence please.

no offense taken at all! the actual OG grille that you posted does look good, i agree. i thought you meant the metal things. I didnt realize they were bolted on to the OG grille until I started taking it apart. already had the replacement grille so i went with it. i like the update and the lights, but its nice to know the OG is still intact. i thought the whole grille was those ugly metal pieces LOL.

Nothing too major today. Got her cleaned up (first time since I bought her in early May). Sunroof got fixed about a week ago. So far, no leaks. Thank God.

    No wax today.

Key tip: if you've got a white 4runner (or any color for that matter), and the layers of the dirt have been built up, get some Simple Green from the store, use liberally, and those layers will usually come off pretty easily. Also, if you have a lot of bugs on the front end, I use one of those "bug sponges" from Wally World. Pretty good item to use.

They work great as canoe tie down points as well. ......or anything else large strapped to your roof and dangling over your hood & windshield.

Not today, but over the past couple weeks:
    - picked it up and drove it 12 hours to get home (finally, after 6 months)
    - removed the silly Pro rack
    - got to start installing all the crap I've been buying for the last 6 months while waiting for it (Canvasback, Pedal Commander, Console Vault, etc)

Lots of fun to drive. It's not quite the same experience as some of my previous vehicles but exactly what I expected and I'm happy to be back in a Toyota BOF vehicle.

Nice mod. Don’t be surprised if one day you have to go pick him up because his vehicle broke down or hear that his vehicle is in the shop often. ;)

Got it back from having the rear end damage fixed. They did a nice job. Other than the smell of paint, I wouldn't have known anything happened.

Well today I had to bring my wife’s van in for an alignment. Well what do you know as I am going outside the Mrs. is getting in the 4Runner and I am stuck with the minivan. I was like… get outta my car. She is like you get the van. I know not to argue with the Mrs. so I called her and complained like a child. She told me it feels good to not drive a mom car. I told her that I completely understand and I wanted my car back after we got to the mechanics. Good news is the van is perfectly aligned without needed work so no charge, bad news is that I didn’t get to drive the beast (aka 4Runner).

They're fine for static pulls if you're in a pinch, just don't be yanking on 'em.
