    Here is my journey.

After couple of months of looking, calling over 40 different Dealers across WA, OR and ID.

I was able to secure an Allocation for AG ORP w/KDSS @ MSRP + $150 Doc Fee and TTL on 4/4/2022

    Build - 3/24
Adriatic Highway RORO left Toyohashi Port - 4/5
Docked at Port of Portland - 4/18
    Unloaded from RORO - 4/19
    Processed/Accessories Installed - 4/23
    Arrived at Dealership - 4/25
    Picked up - 4/26

My request was Not to remove Any protective materials from Interior or Exterior. Not to wash. Basically No Touching! =)

Might be wrong but isn't pre-sold basically the car was sold to a customer, its reserved and it just hasn't hit the lot yet?

Went to dealership May 14th and was told the ship was docking that day. I confirmed with another member that this was a correct docking day for his 4Runner and it was in "A" Status until May 26th and then went to "F" Status until June 8TH and was "G" status until it arrived late in the day on June 10TH and I picked up on June 11TH. It was not as long as others had to wait but it really felt like a long time. I now have 50 miles on it and my family loves it. We are going on a 1400 mile trip to Utah and Nevada starting July 30th so I need to get the 500 miles in soon.104_7111.jpg

Are you still looking for the Pro Fox suspension? I’m getting a 2022 Pro in about a week and am planning on swapping suspension.

When we bought our 2022 4Runner they kept pushing the extended warranty packages with the etching windows, but, my wife shut them down. Now, I keep getting mail from them stating “final offer”. But, not gonna do it.

They had a list of so many things and it would have been close to $7000 more. Things like putting the special clear film on the windshield and ceramic coating the paint. I have not bought it but I am considering the 10 year 100,000 mile drivetrain warrantee. They went from $3000 down to $2700 that night.
I am getting the remote start put on next week and will offer them $2500 for the 10 year thing as long as it's good at any dealership across the USA and as long as it transferable to a new buyer if I would want to sell it in 7 years or more.
That night I kept telling him that I am here buying a Toyota because it's suppose to last for the next 40 years...LOL

Reach out to @gamester on the other forum regarding Toyota extended warranty. He has a connection whose prices are much, much better than what the dealership is offering at time of sale (based on my experience). I'm not allowed to post my quote publicly but can confirm it is well worth your time to ask.

Also, keep in mind the Toyota Platinum VSA (extended warranty) isn't just powertrain - it covers AC controls, power window motors, brake caliper failure, head unit, all the TSS electronics, tons of stuff. I genuinely view extended warranties as profit centers but the quote I got was very compelling and the cost of repairing/replacing any of the larger electronic components is what had me seriously considering the purchase of the VSA.

IMG_6824.jpg IMG_6818.jpg I put a refundable deposit down in Dec 2021 and my vehicle just arrived so I waited 6 months. I specifically wanted a Lunar Rock ORP so the color choice contributed to the long wait. I paid MSRP.

I had a deposit down since December 2021 with Toyota of Cedar Park in Texas, but on a different car (RAV4 hybrid). The delivery date on that kept slipping. In May, my wife's car failed unexpectedly and dramatically, and while it will be fixed under warranty it will be October before it's done. Threw a big wrench in our summer plans.

Dealer recommended used if I needed something ASAP, so looked at a bunch of stuff. Made an offer on a 2018 TRD Pro only to find it was sold prior to me test driving. Sigh..

They said they had an SR5P 4wd due in a few weeks I could get. Would have preferred ORP but nothing available without crazy markups or long waits. Went with the SR5 and this is what I got. Really like the looks. MSRP + $900 for window tint, wheel locks and a mysterious appearance package that I'm still not sure what it was. Not great but infinitely better than the other dealers nearby. Really bad time to buy a new car but didn't have much choice.

I immediately took the truck on a 2500 mile round trip from Texas to Utah for a bike race and managed to crack the windshield... Sigh again.

I have been stalking these feeds for weeks and finally picked up my 4Runner yesterday so I will share my timeline!

March 20 - Ordered and paid $1000 deposit
May 20 - Got word that the dealership had located a vehicle matching my request and it was already built and awaiting transport
    May 27 - Left Japan
June 7 - Arrived to Port of Portland Oregon
    June 24 - Left Port
June 26 - Arrived at the dealership in Lewiston ID

Total time from order to taking possession was 97 days.

Mine came with a couple Factory and Port installed options which put MSRP at $45,273- luckily my local dealership isn't currently doing markups.

When I placed my order, I was originally given an estimate of 4-6 months before arrival but I am in a relationship my salesman so I don't know if that helped get it here sooner or not.

Because I am a sleuth and can't let anything happen organically, I did figure out what vessel my car was on leaving Japan and traced that; I also used the Toyota guest page hack (I can share these tricks if anyone is interested) to get details on the arrival too but these are things my salesman boyfriend (he's been at the dealership for 8 years) didn't even know were possible so when the dealership says that they don't have a ton of information- they probably aren't lying.

Here's a pic of mine- my 2 9 year olds named her Betsy Pickles :D

We have already removed the steps, and will be installing a 3 inch lift, tint and some different tires in the next couple weeks. Open to tire suggestions that anyone may have- we live in the PNW and will spend weekends doing some off-roading- but nothing super extreme.

The appearance package should just be the paint protection coating on the door edges and cups-- At least that is what they are calling it at my local dealership

Looks great. Is it an SR5 or Off Road Premium? I wish I would have had the time to wait for one of these very cool modern colors. I love my Silver ORP but these new colors are making me jealous..LOL

    Nice. I like white.
I live a couple miles from Toyota of CP. Got nothing but games, $6k to $10k mystery mark ups when inquiring about exact builds from Toyota website. Just usual stealership crap. I went used and very happy, since 5th gen hasn't changed for 8 model years now.

Put deposit down in Jan '22 on white SR5. As of mid-July still no allocation and nothing remotely helpful from dealer.

Maybe I am wrong but I would not think a SR5 would be tough allocation (as compared to PRO or ORP).

Put a deposit down mid January and it showed up at the dealer first week in July. MSRP, no BS markups, got the color and options I wanted without a hassle other than the wait. 22 TRD OR, Army Green, no premium package because I didn't want the sunroof. Mark Miller Toyota in Utah did a really great job. I don't normally recommend dealerships but they did exactly what they said they would do and the finance people weren't D-bags either and Scott my salesman was great so I'd use them again.

Depends on too many variables to guess at a date, among them - your trim level and color, volume of the dealership, your spot on the wait list, which port your 4Runner will come through, and your distance from that port.

I made sure they understood I wanted a black orp NO SUNROOF. Tried to get me into a lunar rock and although I do like that color, its just not for me. ORP without sunroof does exist but none in the US at the moment. Do any Toyotas come in through Houston? If not then it looks like one of the east coast ports is where it'll come in

Honestly, I don't think anything is safe to assume when it comes to deliveries right now. When I put my deposit down last December I was told to plan for 3-4 months to be conservative based on their waitlist and it ended up being 6 months because the deliveries from Japan just came in slower than they had been expecting. As we get into the Fall 2022 they could be transitioning to 2023 models also.
