    Hey everyone,
I just replaced the ignition lock in my 4runner, and now it won't start. When I hook it up to a jump box it makes a repeated clicking sound so I feel like the ignition lock is in there properly, and all the sensors are hooked up correctly, I'm wondering if it's just bad timing and the battery or alternator needs to be replaced, or if anyone else has had this same kind of issue when replacing ignition components? Thank you!

So it won't crank? Even with a jump?

Timing won't be the issue. Alternator won't be the issue. Battery shouldn't be the issue either, even if weak.

The only thing needed to crank a car is enough juice to the starter.

A relay clicking with a jump makes me think bad battery cables or starter cable or starter is physically hung up on the fly wheel.

Bad timing is highly unlikely, unfortunately. Double check your connections.
