Still new around here and trying to figure out the navigation of the forums so if this has been answered a million times, my b!

First of all, I wanted to get an idea of what lifts you're using and what experiences you've had with them on and off road. I don't want something crazy, just enough to fit 33's or 35's on the truck to start out for a few years while I learn the ropes of off roading and work my way into overlanding.

Second, how much did you pay to get your lift installed? I'd do this myself, but being in an apartment parking garage trying to crank this out sounds less than fun to do.

I've been looking at the Westcott designs lift and it seems pretty legit, but you know they all say that on YouTube wen it's sponsored.

    Thanks in advance!

Also keep your eyes open on other suspension lifts other members use. For example lifts like King 2.5, Fox 2.5DSC, ELKA 2.5DC, OME BP51, Redflow,.... are by far better ones than factory ones. Me personally have experience with ELKA 2.5DC and I like them far more than factory fox shocks when it comes to comfort onroad and offroad. I needed extended brake lines due to the extra flex. Of cause these setups need diff-drop and UCAs.

You may not be interested on other setups but just shared if it has any value..

Any and every recommendation is welcomed. This is my first proper off road rig. So I’m pretty ignorant to the scene right now

If just 33s with sliders and no other armor I would keep the OEM Fox. I loved their comfort and just added Westcott lift to fit 33s because it keeps suspension geometries the same with same on-road comfort. Jeff is a good man and can explain the difference between his lift vs others. He was a former Toyota engineer I think.

When I got full bumper with winch and lights, I had no choice but to change suspension for weight. Again, vehicle is daily driver and I don't like suspension noises and wanted to keep as much of that on-road comfort as possible so my options were Toytec Aluma 2.5 Series(Elka co-op I believe) or Dobinsons MRRs. I went with Toytec but probably would have been happy with either. I also did BMC as well to upgrade onto 35s at the same time as the suspension upgrade.

I would recommend you buy local. For example, I’m getting the toytec pro lift because I live in Denver. Since they’re local I save about $100 in shipping
