Have never done this job myself. Guy at Advanced Auto Parts said this grease will work. Before I attempt this, can anyone confirm whether or not this will work? I’ve seen other posts where people say you need to use No. 2 Red. This one isn’t red and I don’t see NLGI No 2 anywhere on it. It does say NLGI, though. Thanks!

Thanks for the response. Any recommendations on not overfilling the slip yoke? I read 2 full pumps in the front one and 4 in the rear.

I pump the u joints until I see old Grease start to exit the seals, I pump no more than 1 pump in the slip yoke. Do it every 5k and you'll be good for a long time

Here’s what I use. The blue one has the moly additive for the yokes. But NLGI 2 is fine in both places.

So I just want to make sure I’m clear. The tube I have says NLGI on it, but it doesn’t say NLGI No 2. Do I need to swap it or is the one that I have fine?

Well, technically if you look in your owners manual, it says NLGI 2.

Look carefully on the packaging, I personally have not seen just NLGI grease with no number rating.

Maybe because it’s synthetic. But I am not a grease expert. That’s why I buy what the owners manual recommends.
