Does anyone else’s 2022 4.0 4Runner KINDA sound like a Diesel. Also any tips on making it get better gas mileage. So cold air intakes help any?

    The motors are notoriously noisy.

Gas mileage will basically suck no matter what. Try to keep the RPM's between 2000-2500 while accelerating, unless you're merging on the freeway or passing. Keeping the speed down helps a ton, but isn't always practical.

"Cold air" intakes don't really do much.

Options are getting a Prius, or driving it and not paying attention to gas mileage. Only count the smiles per gallon.

Cold air intake increases engine sound, similar to turning the air cleaner cover upside down “back in the day”.
