Is it just me or has Toyota suddenly sold a gazillion new 4Runners?

Yeah after having zero problems with two 4R’s, I don’t think I will let this one go for a long time.

At least Ford is consistent. ;)

No surprise, I was born and raised in a Ford family and finally saw the light when I bought my first Honda and Toyota in the mid 90’s. Never looked back!

I had a new 87’ Mustang GT that ran like a striped ass ape until the odometer hit 50k miles. Then it literally fell apart.

If someone gave me a brand new Ford I would immediately sell it or trade it in on another Toyota. :)

Who cares? This never shows everything anyway.
That's a shame. I hope the Bronco does well even though I drive a 4Runner, but that's the V6 engine. It would ideally be more robust than the 4 cylinder. Failures at less than 2000 miles are poo-poo. Well, all the more reason to not get the first model year.

I’m hoping their EVs are much more reliable. In theory they should be. The US car makers have generally been quite good with electrical systems. I’d take the chance and buy a F150 Lightning in a heartbeat if it was offered in an SUV form factor. The power and range stats turn out to be higher than advertised. The bigger battery optional on even the base model now rated for 320 miles. And well more than 500 horses and 700 pounds torque. It’s actually more powerful than the Raptor (heavier of course too, but still amazing in all metrics).

Um... Chevy's EV batteries catching fire even after multiple fixes. Chrysler's EVERYTHING ELECTRICAL. At least I've never heard much bad about Ford's electrical systems.
