Welder here too, and yeah steel is freaking expensive.

Helium is stupid hard to find as well, so sticking to Argon for TIG.

When 5th Genners suggest a bumper by a company that doesn't support 3rd Genners, in a 3rd Gen thread :playball:

    Can’t you tell I’m a woodworker …

I looked over the options that are out there , lots of amazing looking bumpers but the prices are just a bit much..

Well I mean, steel is expensive right now.

Then gas prices suddenly surged, so take into account transport, which means materials will go up even more.

Then the development of already existing options and tooling, that wasn't cheap.

$1k for a nice front bumper is a bargain.

Putting some time in on the bumpers. Taking a bit to get it all done but what can I say I’m a busy man…

Speaking of, I just welded my bumper up yesterday -

I'm almost done with it. Just need to add a few beads on the inside seams and weld up the light brackets.

Not doing that until my DD SS3 fog lights arrive though.

    If I bought one, sure.

I need to figure out relocating the AC drier though as it's exposed like hell.

I may leave the bumper as is, and not finish it with wings at the ends.
