Greeting all. I recently traded my 16 Tacoma TRD Sport for a slightly used 21 4Runner TRD Off Road Premium. A bit of an upgrade from 16 Tacoma. So I'm still learning some of the "in's and out's."

(You'll have to excuse the interior pics. I picked it up Sunday before work, and had to scramble to get my stuff out of my Taco while it rained.)

I've had 3 Tacos. Loved them all. But I was ready for a change. I got a helluva offer on my trade in, found a 4Runner I wanted, so took the plunge.

So far I'm liking it. Truck sat up little higher due to a lift, so now sitting lower is taking some adjustments.

But if anyone can answer a quick question: 4Runner currently is on Eco mode, how do you turn that off?

    How is this indicated?

On my '19, a green eco light pops up when the ECU is happy with how I'm driving. It's enabled anytime I'm in overdrive (D). It shuts off in "S" mode.

But, I'm not sure if newer models have an ECO mode. I'm sure someone with a newer model will chime in. :)

So, it looks like it's the same as it was in '19.

Mine is illuminated with a green "ECO" on the dash. I wasn't sure if there was a setting/button to adjust or turn off. Not really an issue, per se, but my OCD kicks in because it's on. Just gonna have to take some adjustments for me.

It looks like you can shut it off in the settings of the dash display.

The 4Runner has an Eco mode? No seriously, I'm wondering. I've had mine for almost 2 years and never noticed that option. Not anything but a display that tells you how eco you're driving. Not that I've really looked at it....

Seems the same as mine. It should turn off when you accelerate or drive too fast.

You can shut it off as shown in @Spare Parts ' post.

No, it's just the "ECO" indicator on the dash. There's definitely nothing "ECO" about it. :p

Nice truck, congratulations. I did the same, but traded a 2013 Tacoma.

    By driving more aggressively.
