I have a 2018 TRD pro….with the silver roof rails. Yuck!

I am debating either powder coating them or wrapping them in black.

I don’t ever plan on using a roof rack.

So what I would really like is to get a set of black tubular rails with no cross bars to replace the OEM rails

I think that might look a lot better.

But I have not seen anything like that.
    Anybody have any ideas??

    Let me be more specific…
I would like to replace the whole OEM rail, caps and all with a tubular rail that bolts into existing holes.

anybody ever see anything like that?

Pick up truck bed rails might be your ticket. DeeZee, Putco and others make them. You would have to fashion an attachment plate of some sort. You could probably have a fabricator bend up some tubing and weld tabs on them to match up with the factory holes.

glwood54 - the link did not work for me.

Deuxdiesel - that is the look I am looking for - just a lot of work - hoping there was already one commercially available.

How do you like being topless? I am considering the same! I don't envision ever using the current Pro rack and I don't want to spend a $1,000 on a cool looking rack that I will probably never use. I think it will look really sleek without the Pro rack - and the Predator Steps removed! Not being used - just extra weight and wind resistance!

Go Rhino makes a 48" satin black rail that is a universal fit. The holes won't match up with the factory holes, so you would have to fab up something to fit. Another option is Rhino Rack makes tracks that replace the roof ditch molding and allows custom bar (or nekkid) positions.

I found a seller on FB marketplace (local to me) selling these aftermarket pro racks for $200-$250, forgot exactly how much. I was gonna pick it up but was afraid of fitment issues. I asked him questions and he just sort of brushed it off never to reply again so that gave me a red flag to stay away. I have yet to see any reviews from actual users for these rack, so till I do, I'd steer clear.

I shot my roof rails (before i got my roof rack) with Raptor Liner. Worked and looked great.
