Picking up my 2022 Limited this week and just wondering if JBL radio needs to be set a certain way to sound the best. First time owner just trying see if any tricks people might know. Thanks

It really depends on your experience with high end car audio. You’ll love your 4Runner but don’t expect much from the JBL system if you’re used to good sound. If you’re accustomed to listening to high end audio, you’ll find the factory JBL is really lackluster. The amp has no real power, the speakers are low budget paper jobs. If you like to play your music loud you’ll find the stock EQ curves made music at higher levels sound very flat and crappy. I replaced all the speakers with Focal components in the front, Focal coaxials in the rear doors and a JL sub in the factory sub enclosure. JL Fix 82 takes signals from the JBL amp, strips all the tuning JBL did and sends a clean signal to a JL VX series amp. That being said, the 4Runner is actually a great place to listen to music from a good stereo.
