Hello! New member currently residing in NOVA area! 5th Gen T4R ORP

Hey Y'all,

Recently ordered my first T4R, a 2022 ORP with KDSS in Super White, that just arrived on the 10th of March at the Port of Newark! Hopefully, it will be delivered to the dealership soon, but I am certainly not holding my breath!

As a first time T4R owner, I am always open to any advice and/or tips moving forward! Thanks!

 

Save your money for gas but if you have any left over then keep your eyes off the forum as it relates to mods. (You can thank me later)

Some folks buying new vehicles gives the undercarriage a good wash then coat it with fluid film. I don’t know anything about it, just watched 1 video about a while back and saw there were some others. Bottom line: it’s only new and spotless once, it’s expensive, who knows what is coming economically, so protect every inch of it with something!

I would definitely get it fluid filmed or something similar for the salt etal. I have been looking into Xpel clear film and plan to do that on my hood and front end in April. I am lucky to have a well regarded shop nearby.

Welcome, I’m in NOVA too, picked up a white ORP three weeks ago.

 

Woolwax is the same as fluid film but thicker and doesn't wash off as easily. Don't forget to spray under your kdss accumulator skid otherwise it will corrode and you'll get kdss issues

I’ll let you know if I find one, ordered TRD Pro wheels over the weekend and will need to find a shop for AT tires when they arrive. Also have the TRD Pro grill on the way that I will install. I just had the truck tinted on Friday, let me know if you need a shop, they do the wrap/ceramic too.

 

Nice! Exciting man! I just swapped out both front and rear valances -- as well as added the blacked out insert for the hood scope. I have the TRD pro grille that arrived the same day I received my 4R, but I accidentally ordered the wrong upper radiator grille...
