A blown axle on a long lived Xterra lead me to the wonderful machine they call the 4runner! I look forward to learning how to fix and modify my 4Runner. Cheers

    Welcome and congrats!

Just curious, which 4.0 do you prefer, the Nissan or the Toyota?

@Trail Runnah The Xterra an '06, bought with 18K miles, sold w/ 169,855m. I had more disposable income at the time, thus a lot of modifications were made to her. I just maintained everything and ran full synthetics. That SUV was a beast! Heavy 4x4ing, strong engine, and comfortable. I blew the rear diff and axle here in ID. After that, $ starts piling up. I sold her... I am impressed with the 4Runner. I wanted dependability and a reputation for off-road. I like the weight, power and torque, stance, and size of the 4Runner. I'm a weekend warrior, thus she'll most likely remain stock, except for the lift, wheels, and tires I added. If I had a wish, access to parts, and no tariffs, I'd buy a Nissan Patrol!
