No, I don’t want this to be yet another oil debate thread, but this is for those of us who choose to use Toyota 0w20 motor oil.

Last year I was able to purchase 7 qts at $7 each at my local dealership. Just called and they still don’t have any cases of the oil. They have had an open request since last fall.

They do have it in bulk for the service department but are unwilling to sell that.

I was just curious if any of you ran across the same shortage?

Not specifically the Toyota brand but I am finding it hard to find Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 0w20. You can only order it and its always out of stock on Amazon.

Yes I think today if you see something you need or want you better get it.

we found some Toyota oil at the other dealership today so I bought enough for two oil changes.
So crisis averted for now. ;)

Just did my 30K oil change. No Toyota 0-W20 in SF Bay Area. Went with Valvoline 0W-20.

    Don't trust buying from Amazon.

Thanks, I agree. I am concerned buying stuff online. Lots of counterfeit parts.

I’m good to go now. One of my local Toyota dealerships had what I wanted. I’m set for two oil changes. :)

Who cares? This never shows everything anyway.
You generally don't have to worry about that if you're buying from a reputable seller. Sadly, Amazon is not a reputable seller when it comes to mission-critical stuff like this. You'd probably be better off buying oil from a seller on ebay with good feedback.
