99' 4Runner Limited Alarm Going Off When Doors Are Locked

So my 99' 4Runner has this really obnoxious issue where the alarm just goes off. It's completely random, too. Sometimes it goes off, other times no. I'm curious if I can just remove the alarm system all together. It's the factory system so I'm not exactly sure how to do that. It used to have a 3rd party remote start system that I assumed to be causing the issue, but it still occasionally alarms despite getting that removed. At this point, I don't care enough to have an alarm anymore so removing it would be my best bet. Does anyone know what I can do or how to remove/disconnect the system?

 

I dont really have an answer for you. I have a 99 also that does the same thing. Its very annoying and it happens some times in the middle of the night. I will monitor any responses because I want to remove it also. However, I don't want anything affected by its removal. Good luck. I feel your pain!
