    Hi from Pennsylvania,

    On the waitlist for a '22 ORP - Excited to start my journey into off roading this summer! Any tips would greatly be appreciated (the first things I need to buy, etc.)

    My wife had a 2010 SR5 (had to sell it when family grew)

    You don't need anything. Just drive it a bit and see what fits your situation, but it's pretty damn good out of the box.

    Welcome! As mentioned before, the 4Runner is very capable out of the box. If you’re going to wheel it, first thing I would suggest is better tires. The Dunlops that came with mine didn’t do very well on the trail and it also looked lame…

    Congrats on the upcoming 22'! Off roading can mean many things. As mentioned better AT tires I would say first. Then I would go heavier skid plate. But, not neccesary for many. These are highly capable stock in the right hands. I have a friend who teaches marines, navy seals, etc. very technical off road skills. Stock he could outdrive most heavily built rigs you see. It all depends what you really want to do with it. I have seen guys overbuild and then go back to more minimalist and are happier. Depends on the person and the mission. Have fun!
