Is there a thread in here for suggestions/templates on trimming front bumper?l (to run bigger tires)? Are you painting after the cut, putting some kind of trim where you cut, leaving it just raw cut plastic?

Viper cut? I cut mine just below the bumper line on the fog light.

Check YouTube “4Runner Viper cut” or “4Runner fender liner mod”

You can touch up with paint, or use a trim piece.

I painted after doing fender liner mod.

Just use painters tape and do it the way you like it. Use edge lock trim

For good reason, everyone freaks out a bit when they first cut into their 4Runner's front end. Here is the good thing about doing these cuts. Nothing says you have to go all out with your first cut. Start with a bit on the inside of the wheel wheel to get a feel for how it cuts and what you end up with. A little bit of trimming might even be enough for you. I used a Dremel with a plastic specific cut off wheel. Very easy to control and it cuts through the bumper like butter. As for templates, lot of good advice so far. Look online at what some people have done and lay out what you like with some painters tape. There is no "right" answer as long as you like the way it looks and it performs the function you want it to perform (more clearance for tires, approach, impress your friends.) It's like any other cutting project, measure twice, cut once.
