My 2017 Taco manual pro is getting 16-17 in the city and 19-20 on the highway. Gets about 1mpg less on both numbers in the winter. Mine has had the tune on it.

Check Vroom. When I sold a vehicle a couple months ago Vroom was 10% higher.

The manheim reports been showing about a .75% drop per week over the last 2 months on averageand it gets bigger as time goes by so it's a different world than mid January which was the peak. Carmax I found gave the most.

Absolutely - I meant they sold it for MSRP - not dealer add on (forget what the dealerships called it - something like market adjustment). I'm a capitalist and expect a business to make a profit....heck I do not care if a dealership wants to add 10 - 15K for a market adjustment - supply and demand.

Faulkner Toyota in Trevose Pa 19020 MSRP no mark ups , first time I ever paid sticker , good dealership and staff . I was there Saturday with the brother in law looking at the tundra for him .
They don’t have any pro’s on the lot , but they were just unloading a lunar TRD Offroad 4runner … I like the color better than my Lime Rush but I like the Pro also especially no mark up .
Still might be there if anyone is looking for a Offroad .

Exactly! No one is happy about this on the demand side. But it is what it is! I want one, I can afford one, therefore I buy one! Supply is very limited therefore pricing remains strong! If one cannot afford one or does not want one, don't buy one! Until the teeter totter shifts up on the supply side this scenario will remain in place. Look at the housing market!

What does everyone think will happen to the value of our current 4R's and new 4R's with the current debacle this government has gotten us into with gas prices?

Used ones will go down. Not drastically so, just down to pre- insanity levels. I think the shock of fuel going up a dollar in a week's time is probably putting purchases like the 4R further down the priority list. Especially with not knowing where it will end.

    That's just my uninformed .02.

Ignoring your misinformed ideas of the causes of gas prices, it'll be hard to tell. Prices peaked pretty crazy and were bound to come down anyway. But people panic, and the values will probably drop even more in the short term, but gas prices will go back down, we'll all be outraged and divided over the next crisis, and used car/truck values will level off.

I blamed the current debacle on the government that includes all parties. They all need to be voted out. They provide zero value to the world. I was just asking a question.

Getting a kick out of gas prices going up 60 cents a gallon and watching people act like the sky is falling. This too shall pass already is oil down to $105. So it costs you $12 more a week to fill up you going to trade in pay new taxes doc fees all the add on garbage and take a bath on a trade for $12 a week. Also interest rates are up so figure that in as well for ever .25 increase add $5 in interest as well. Everyone just sit tight. Btw just got alerts from CarGurus that a bunch of 4 runners sold today one pro for 67k at carmax so wouldn’t worry about it.

I'm not planning on selling my 4R at the moment because I don't drive much. I looked at a RAV4 Hybrid, but can't bring myself to driving one. I was just wondering because if I wanted to sell I didn't want to miss a great opportunity.

Selling a used truck for more than a new one cost isn't going to last, regardless of gas prices. If you want to sell while the market is hot, I'd jump on it now.

Yeah I got lucky last time, but it was a mistake to sell. I ended up driving an Outback Wilderness which is still better than a RAV4.

I was just asking mainly just in case if something happened financially and I needed to make a change. Or when gas hits $10/gallon.

Three different cars in less than 12 months (possibly four)? You should have kept your first 4Runner! The sky is not falling! You still live in America! Life is good! Be happy that you don't live in Ukraine, Russia, Botswana, Syria or El Salvador!

I’ve had 16 different vehicles in 10 years. I’m not panicking. I was just asking a random question.

Ya, my daily commute is about 14 miles round trip, most of it being under 40 mph, except on the way home I have about mile and a half stretch at 60.
Based on Fuelly I’m 17.3 mpg over all. It gets great mileage on the 50 to 60 mpg back roads, on the highway I’m doing 70 plus, and typically loaded up for camping, so that’s not helping anything.

At some point, our values will plummet. As gas hits and surpasses $8 a gallon, they will become worthless

Price of a 2022 4Runner TRD Pro Lime rush 53,933 as of last Friday. Does not seem to have a mark up. May be fuel prices effected and order was canceled? Did not see a name vs other vehicles I see a name of the person who reserve it. No idea.
I tried my best to take a clear pic as the sun was shining on the glass having hard time to see the windows sticker. Hide the VIN and Dealership details.

The window sticker doesn't generally show the markup, does it?

I could be wrong but I used to see this area they stick that markup sticker thing. or that sticker right next to the window sticker. In this case I did not see it. Not sure. Again I could be wrong.

What if somebody bought a base SR5 that offered 99% of the capability of the Pro and saved nearly $15K? Imagine how much gas that would buy.

Mark up is usually on the dealer sticker that lists doc fee and dealer add-ons, not the monroney sticker.

I mostly vote for SR5 with 3rd row and get twin ARB lockers or even Eton elockers front and back. I love 3rd row seats on my SR5 and mine didn't even had moonroof that gave me extra headroom and much safer feeling if I face a hail storm.

Base TRD ORP is an excellent choice per my books as well. You get all the offroad goodies a Pro has (even available terrain monitor system) plus my favorite 7.5 wide wheels which I can fit 285/70R17 within specifications.

It is sad some owners think "I only have an SR5".

Most dealers aren't listing the markup they just assume you won't be surprised when you ask.

what will be interesting, is when the market does settle, will they be advertising No Marker Adjustment. It used to be east to go online and find the starting price, now you don't have a clue how many thousands extra they expect you to pay.
