Hey all new guy from Va here with a question.First of all i'm not a 4runner owner as of yet but have always liked all year runners. So my question for you knowledgeable folks is i'm currently looking at an 03 SR5 4wd V8. The mileage is around 118k and appears to be in really good shape from what i saw and the asking price is $8,995.Does this sound like it's within reason for such a 4runner for its age and mileage? And also outside of routine maintenance is there any major or minor service that should be performed at this mileage and any know issues?Sorry my first post is nothing but questions.Any input is appreciated greatly!

2003 4Runner SR5 v8 - Temp Front: Top hat spacer 2.5" on Tacoma struts/springs Rear: TJM/King heavy extended Tacoma shocks 315 BFG AT KO2's (35's) Thrush Welded muffler and rear watermelon delete with turned exit K&N drop in, and extra filter delete Strengthened/Welded passenger side front diff mount Front diff drop - due to the top hat spacer and massive droop.... Scion headunit CB Other stuff done, 6th 4Runner:)

Some people will freak at that price - it's low for a 118k 4Runner. I paid roughly the same for my 2003 v8 SR5 a few months back with 108k on it and one owner. If the timing belt hasnt' been done - then talk them down a grand and be happy - if it's been done it's a good price as long as there's nothing wrong with it.

FYI there are entire threads on "what did you pay for your 4th Gen" that have been opened from when the 4th Gen was new 2003 and it's still being updated to this day: I posted on it in 2004 when we bought my ex-wifes, and then on it when I bought this one for myself earlier this year:) But for your area, and the relative low miles if it's not rusted out it's a damn good deal!

I bought a 2003 4Runner Sport Edition V8 4WD from Northern VA for $8900... Bought it, got it back down to my place in SW VA and then noticed a little rust on the frame. Took it to a frame specialist, found out that the entrie rear frame area was completely rusted out, he said I shouldn't be driving it. Took it back to the dealer and thankfully got back MOST of my money. It was about a month after I purchased it, so I was pretty lucky. So, if it is a black 2003 Sport Edition V8, better look over it REALLY good, they might have just threw it back on the lot, or pawned it off on another dealer without their knowledge.... PM me if you need more specifics....

I paid $14,500 for my 2005 limited with 88,000 miles on it. Not sure if I paid too much but the truck with in very good condition. Had to have it. I've had it a little over a year and now have 120,000 on it
