I had a allocation for a white pro through Holman Toyota in Mt Laurel, NJ at msrp since December 6. They said they are a volume dealer and promised there would be no mark up on the vehicle. The day I put my deposit down they had just sold the exact truck for msrp. Well they just called this week and said they were adding 10k to the price because "people are buying them and then selling the for 10-20k more". I said thank you for your time and send my deposit back then. He said i could use the deposit on something else and I laughed and said "fool me once!" I'll keep searching like everyone else.

Thats horrible. I thought they were one of the better dealers in NJ. I guess they are all the same. I would join some of the 4Runner Facebook groups and sift through. Some of the people on the groups have said they have better luck in the middle of the country with dealers having allocations and selling at MSRP.

Hello y'all, wanted to help a fellow forum member out. Im not a dealer or a salesman, I am just giving up my allocation for a Lime Rush 4 runner pro in upstate NY. You must be an upstate NY resident (not NYC area) with NY drivers license and insurance otherwise they will charge a markup if you are not or are from out of state. It will be here mid March. Whoever is seriously interested and PM's me first its yours and they'll need a $500 deposit. Attached the specs.

The color is not for me. Hoping to get a white or mag grey and stay a little more lowkey.

That makes sense. I love the color but it certainly isn't for everyone.

Wilsonville Toyota in Oregon. 750 under msrp. No haggle, the price is what it is. Picked up a SR5 premium last week. Waited for about 1 month for it to arrive.

Heh! Interesting. The sales guy I talked to said they were charging MSRP and there were no options added or market adjustment.

But looking at the links above it sounds like he was trying to get a bait and switch.. or he doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

I went in mid January, they’ve got my $500 deposit too. He told me it would probably be august-September before I got my ORP with plus package.

Berge Baits and switches. Tundras listed for 55k then call send OTD end up at over 70k before taxes.

Big two it was like the 80's they say they sell msrp and they'll add 3k plus of addons and low ball your trade and say yeah but you'll save that 4k in taxes

Larry Miller, lol man i had flash backs to the 4 square and never get a straight answer. Was expecting def leppard to come on the radio and people to start showing up with acid wash jeans. They add on the legendary "Desert protection package" and a host of other charges along with ADM.

Right is really a scam so many add, pricing on site is about 20% less than reality. 30k ADM for lime pro lol, don't waste your time.

Autonation Tempe 15k over msrp for pro need I say more

Earnhardt depends on the day some days msrp, others way over. Extra adds.

Avondale is msrp no adds. Huge waiting list no way you get a pro. Everything is taken but sometimes someone gets denied finance or cancels so you can get a call, but you have 5 minutes to decide if that or they move on.
They will low ball your trade to make up for the no markup so best to buy here if you have nothing. They pull the old sales tax savings as if that makes up for the 4k they lowball you.

Toyota Surprise - Decent trade, negotiate a bit they will come down. They are over msrp but you can negotiate that somewhat. The difference between trade and price you pay is better than Avondale. If no trade go with Avondale. This is like an avondale that negotiates. Only add on is window tint.

The last two are best easiest to work with no commission sales people, no pressure, finance is super easy at both Avondale it's 5 minutes your sale person is the finance guy.

Tony Divino Toyota, in Ogden, UT, honored the MSRP. I had to pay a refundable $500 deposit that would apply to the cost of the car.

Young Toyota, in Logan, UT, said they would sell at the MSRP, but after going through all the rigamarole of picking out a car, wanted a $2000 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit. Sheesh! And the salesperson was rude. She basically said, "Shut up and give me your money."

Mark Miller in Salt Lake City added a markup, but they were at least polite and honest about it from the get-go.

Was the non-refundable deposit on a vehicle that was already allocated and en route, or was it to be put on a waiting list?

I'd be ok with the former, absolutely not with the latter.

1k over MSRP for a pro is less than some pre COVID, I’d pay 1k over for the mgm.

And Durango Toyota has been previously reported (on this thread and elsewhere) as a solid dealership. Never looking to pay more than MSRP but totally willing to pay a few bucks more for a tested/verified dealer versus an unknown entity that will bait-and-switch or fail to deliver on their promises...

They were fantastic, just came out with a 2022 TRD OR for MSRP + $399 Doc Fee. No other add-ons, mark ups etc. They also gave me a fantastic trade value, $3k more than other dealer.

I was on a waitlist, no deposit. Jimmy was my sales rep, stand up guy, highly recommend.

I've got flashbacks of that 4 square too. They're the most annoying people on the planet to deal with, they cannot answer a simple question. RT the salesman I was dealing with, refused to answer my question when I asked 3 separate times as to how much the car cost, and he offered they could negotiate the 6k markup if I was in front of him.... what a standup guy................... Never going to any Larry miller dealership for anything. I'll drive across town before I step a foot there.

Big two was the same worked with a guy that used to work VanTyl back in the day on Camelback. Soon as he said that I was like oh this will be fun. He took me up too storage room B which I swear was from the 80's had NO AC and the guy couldn't even look up inventory on the computer. Someone had to come help him. Uggggh what a nightmare. It's almost like they don't realize people have internet and research before going in. I guess they can't let go of the "glory days". Best was when they told my wife to wait in the lobby while me and him worked things out. That went over well. Larry Miller is also great at pulling yes the car is here, then 30 minutes when you show, oh it just sold. But we have this one.

Poll added to the thread feel free to vote.

Would any of you be interested in an official website to list these msrp dealers? Not only for Toyota but other manufacturers as well?
If there is enough interest, I think we can make it happen! Anyone who is willing to help in anyway would be greatly appreciated.
