0F371AB1-8275-4944-A773-933BE4A84F18.jpg My wife and I are now empty nesters - as all 3 kids are off to college! Her last vehicle that was not the designated kid hauler (scouts, plays, recitals, sports, vacations, etc) was a 7 series BMW. She loved that car and basically could have chosen any vehicle she wanted. We have a small horse farm (boarded by a river) so she really wanted a 4WD vehicle. I have a Tacoma and have enjoyed it. We got on a list for this 4Runner on Feb 1st and it arrived yesterday and we went and picked it up. I must say Brandon and the team at Capitol Toyota (Chattanooga TN) were great to deal with - no markups, and they did a $500 credit for my military service. I look forward to reaching out to the experts here for practical experiences that may benefit my wife with her new truck.

Congrats on the new ride! Special congrats on the quick turnaround and not getting dicked around by the dealer with markups on a Pro. As you will see on this forum, both of those together are unheard of these days. Nice truck!

You paid no markup and only had to wait a month? That's great, looks like the market is lightening up a bit

Absolutely agree...I've purchased a few vehicles in my day (I'm 60) and paying sticker is hard. When my wife decided what she wanted I started looking - the first call I made - was to the dealership where I bought my Tacoma (2019 TRD Off road) - they said 65K, then the dealership that does all my service (that's a LOT as I have put 155K miles on it, in 3 years) said they were 2K over sticker but did not have any coming in that were not already sold.

I called the Chattanooga Dealership (capitol) just because they had 3 on their website...apparently they had just listed it. They said they never would charge over sticker - to be honest, I was totally skeptical till we actually got the call yesterday that it had arrived and asked if I still wanted it. I was in and out very quickly and they were actually wonderful to deal with.

You obviously were in the right place at the right time - great score!! I'm another "older guy" that has some property outside of Chattanooga that we visit twice a year - the wife and I are both into side by side & ATV trail riding. My particular area, unfortunately, only accommodates smaller off-road rigs like ATVs, but my daughter, also a proud 4runner owner, has found a second home in Wind Rock. I'll be checking that place out myself sometime this year (hopefully)...

I took these today when I took my taco back for the tailgate blackout letters.

Cheers, you have a sick 4runner.

thanks - I was shocked to see what some are willing to pay...to me paying sticker was a first...I drive a Tacoma - bought it new in 2019, stcker was 39990, I paid 34300. I now have 156K miles on my Tacoma.

LOL - actually I will probably only drive it a handful of times a year - no desire.

My wife loves it - our daughters boyfriend has the Lime Green (not sure what it is called) Tacoma on order. He also paid sticker.

Nice vehicle for a family certainly - we had a need for something much larger as we have large family (3 kids and a GSD that travels with my wife).

My wife seems to like it - I rode in it when she took it home...haven't been in it since - I probably wont be in it much - but there is much more room in the garage with the big Conversion Van gone LOL.

Wow! You got that quickly. I'm on a list with one of the only dealerships not marking up $10K and they told me it might be a year. Maybe when gas hit $8 a gallon this summer, they will be more willing to dump them.

I believe I must have just been fortunate...they told me when I called on Feb 1, that they had JUSt that moment got another allocation and put it on the website.
