Welcome from North Carolina. I am not far from you at all. There is a great trail that I like to run up just past Asheville called Hurricane Creek. Here is the Gaia link.

If you ever need a 2nd vehicle for off-road trips just hit me up.

    Also…
Here is a thread for NC 4Runners as well (not very active but I watch it for any activity):
    https://www.4runners.com/threads/nc-4runners.142/

Here is a thread for Tennessee 4Runners (since you are so close. I also watch that one and it isn’t active either. We need so east coast love put in those threads):

Thank you guys for the welcomes. You all are awesome!
GrantA I haven’t done Hurricane Creek don’t know anyone with a good lift and gear to go with. My 4R is fun and fictional but don’t feel it’s not HC ready unless a buddy has a winch. Gets really muddy on that trail and get some pretty cool articulations!
But I have spent a lot of time in Max Patch which is in the same place 1 mile away. Fun service roads out by Pisgah Nation Forest.
Many roads to explore. Thanks for the leads on local forums.

I am happy to go with you if your down (feel free to PM me). I don’t feel it is a hard trail at all. I saw a new stock Tacoma go through it. I would like to say I have a built rig but I know others who have done SAS and invested way more than me. You can see my build here:
