    Hey all,

Have had Nitto Ridge Grappler 285/70R17 tires on the truck for about a year now. Their just big enough to rub the back plastic section of the wheel well mud flap area when in Reverse, but does not go far enough to smash into the body mount.

I'm on a 1.75" Eibach lift, with Black Rhino wheels that push the tires about .75" further out then stock.

What adjustments have you guys done to that plastic area to stop the running when in reverse? If I cut that whole section out, i'm concerned with road debris getting thrown up in there... but maybe thats not much of a concern that it could cause any long term damage?

I attempted to take a heat gun to the area to try and soften and push the area back more into the wheel well... but that was a no go without destroying it.

    Thanks all!

Is it rubbing the rocker panel? Mine broke off on a trail, fixed itself:D
You could get an alignment and have your caster adjusted as much as you could as well, that should help clear the back side but then you might have to do some fender liner work in the front.

No it's not that far out... it's like 4" in from the rocker panel right where the wheel well plastic is molded like a bump. I'll take a pic of it and post.

I had my alignment place move the caster, I told them 4 degrees but they could only to 2.5 on them for whatever reason.

Actually it is the mudflap, I dont know wtf i was thinking.
Do you guys just remove them completely? Or place something else there to help protect the area after removal?

You can see the rubbing here...

and you can see my failed attempt to melt the plastic and push it back here...

You may need to get a second opinion on the alignment.

    Just remove the mud flap.

I’m running same tires on Pro rims, no rubbing and mud flaps are still installed. They did the front fender nip and tuck. 2” lift.

The rubbing issue seems to be more prevalent with aftermarket rims.
