Of my new TRD Offroad Premium. Army green! I’m so excited. I’ve bought several vehicles in the past few years, but they’ve all been for the wife and kids. This is the first vehicle I’ve bought for myself in 15 years.

    Cheers,

    Spalding

Congrats! Post up some pics when you get it.

Where are you located by the way? If you are in one of the road salt states one of your first mods should be having some sort of Fluid Film or Krown type rust preventative applied to the chassis. Especially this time of year.

Thanks everyone for the words of welcome. I’ve got to at least get it to a dirt road for the first photo. Driveway pics aren’t my style. ;-)

Okay you have less than 24 hours to hit some dirt (that is how long it took me before my 4Runner was hitting some dirt trails). Even got it’s first Arizona pin stripping within 24 hours. ;)

Must be nice to have that option upon arrival! Mine still hasn't seen dirt. Plenty of snow but no dirt yet. :(

Now you're talking! When I ordered a new JK back in 2006 it was Jeep's version of that green (Jeep Green) - my favorite color of all time, but not available in 2019, alas...

Yes. I have my eye on the RSG sliders - flat, no kick out, no grip. They will be my first modification. The “Predator” tube steps came with the truck. Those steps look mighty vulnerable to damage don’t they?

The next modification will be swapping the Dunlop M+S tires for off road tires. All the off road vehicles I’ve owned before I bought used, and replacing the old tires with new ones was a no-brainer. I’m still trying to get used to the idea of replacing new tires though. And another part of that decision is whether or not to lift, and if so, how much …

The timing of these things is naturally contingent on the refilling of the toy coffers.

I planned to wear out the Dunlops on mine prior to buying new tires...then I got an unrepairable puncture in one, and one of those stupid Dunlop street tires was around $275 to replace! The Discount Tire shop I go to gave me a decent trade value for the remaining Dunlops, so I put Falken Wildpeaks on for about double the cost out of pocket for 4 new tires over buying just one.
