Indeed! Best feature on my (cough..phone..cough) camera is the composition grid. Can't imagine life without it now.

Nothing pisses me off more than when I ask someone to take a photo with my phone, I HAND IT TO THEM HORIZONTALLY and then they go ahead and try to take a social media composition vertically.

    :violent:

    :bananadead:

EDIT: Oh.... and when I have to show them the Cube chart and tell them to use this point on the squares to focus......

    :annoyed:

There's a Facebook live video somewhere of me de-escalating this angry woman who was videoing another officer and ranting at him. I friendly-like yelled at her "turn the phone sideways, no one likes to watch vertical videos!!!" and she started laughing and then just went and sat down on the curb. Like a fucking light switch from on to off.

I did it because no one likes to watch vertical videos, zero shits given about her or the situation. Composition is important, bitch!

Haha! I know what you mean. I’m always yelling at the TV for consumer vertical videos to “turn the phone horizontal!”

While it was far from scenic it was a location. East Norriton PA 02/05/22 on the wettest day of the year apparently. Site surveys for jobsites where I will practice the dark arts of network infrastructure installation and the magic of the internet.

I know you may have nothing better to do but reflect. But if I may… if you ever are in a hurry for whatever reason (ie: you popped a tire off the bead, spare is ruined, tire has a hole… Your gonna want something that puts air in faster than it comes out). They aren’t horribly expensive and you can even reflect after your tires are done. This way you don’t have to stand up (check the pressure, sit down, get up, etc.) good exercise I will admit.

What is the cycle time on that compressor? It shouldn’t be run continuously like that and should be cooled. Wait until that thing hits summer time. I am pretty certain it won’t last long before exploding internally.

Looks like you had fun though, been through Yuma a few times on my trips from Phoenix to San Diego. Also worked in Yuma for a couple days.

It's a cutting board pushed into the hitch receiver. Works well.

    No idea.

As to a catastrophic tire event, see this other post about a flat tire (or two). https://www.4runners.com/threads/tire-repair-kits-what-has-worked-for-you.24103/page-2#post-315712

But yes, I think it's on its way out as this time it had to pause due to overheating twice. Not too shabby for two years, to include two summers in Arizona, at $59. Considering the NAPA compressor (https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/BK_MTWM10215C). Have heard mostly great reviews on here and elsewhere. Thanks.

Are you familiar with the NAPA air compressor? If so, any review on that choice? Thanks.

Nope. But there is a good channel for this stuff…
    https://youtu.be/TkxpuzYggd4

I have the Single and Dual ARB compressor. I have heard Smittybuilt and Viair is really good too. I am the kinda guy that would rather spend the money once and have it run forever vs. buy a new one every couple years. Time is money and dependability is super important to me.

Had a dual ARB as well (as mentioned in the tire repair thread). It was always something! Always! If NOT one thing. It was another. Anything from the wires eaten (NOT ARB's fault), the hose to the locking diff (also ARB) snapped (regardless of length or routing), somehow water found its way into the solenoid, yada, yada, yada. But always something that when I pushed the button it didn't work. That said, when available it worked well. But way too many times it was unavailable for other reasons. That aside, I used the ARB more than the Walmart Slime purchase. However, this time the Slime shut off twice because it was hot. Thus, as you hinted, likely on its way out, and why I installed this 10 AWG power socket port, which connects to the house battery instead of the vehicle battery allowing me to run the compressor without running the vehicle's engine. As the ~15amp draw could drain a non-charging start battery. Thanks for the video reference to other choices.

Yeah both of my ARB compressors have been solid. Sorry for the troubles you have experienced. That Arizona heat will destroy anything and everything is seems like. Those hoses might not have been able to handle those environments. Did you find another hose type for your lockers? I ask because I would like to see if you found something more reliable that I should look into since I also have a front and rear ARB locker.

That was between 2006-12 and do NOT recall. Did a quick Google search and it looks like ARB lockers are still problematic ten years later, whether the hose or other components of the lockers. NOT mechanically gifted, while understanding the mechanics of air lockers NOT confident to install or make recommendations. Nonetheless, while anecdotal online forum stories are insufficient evidence, the volume of anecdotal evidence ought to cause pause. While NOT helpful for you, maybe the hose is adequate as thousands of this product are sold every year. Unrelated, if you saw the Tire repair thread, I used those BF Goodrich KO2 for ~130k miles over 6 years despite four different tires bad experiences. Yet, thousands of those are sold every year as well. It's tough to find where you get the best buck for your dollar. Again, thanks for your input.

Yeah ARB lockers had a seal problem but was supposedly fixed so I went ahead with the purchase. No turning back now. They have been good to me this far. Worst case I have atrac as a backup. :)

There's a pretty big thread on AC on here.

Basically cost, PSI, number of cycles, portability, reputation, availability. Seemed a good choice based on research into those factors, and has proven to be with use. I'm pleased.

Also I've found a weird use for it to inflate balloons to shoot. Leave the hose off and run the compressor and you can inflate balloons super fast. Handy at the range.

Mine. Bag big enough for a few tools and a portable jump pack, too. Don't call me LOL.

Edit, over on TW they are showing it as low as $179 on Amazon (on their Amazon deals thread). The link shows it at $240 though.
