    hey all,
so i'm planning to order a new set of wheels and tires (Fuel Rebel 17" bronze) from Custom wheels offset, and their website states that I could use their TPMS sensor but in case it doesn't relearn by itself, I need to take it to a tire shop/dealer.
Has anyone had any experience with Custom Wheels Offset TPMS sensors? Also, I remember reading a post that said Toyota changed out the TPMS sensors for the '22 models, which is different from the previous models... They changed it to a white rubber sensor? Can anyone confirm on this?

    Thanks in advance!

Same here. I’m ordering for my 22 TRD from SD wheels they are both the same company. SD wheels said they also use purple max wheel sensors. I may have to buy a set from a local and use OEM. SD wheels will not install OEM sensors.

So i received my wheels with purple tpms sensors. First i went to firestone but they were charging 21.99 to program them, so drove over to discount tire and they did it for free! It only took 2 mins!

I drove for about 20 minutes then car started reading sensors.
but every time i start the car, the numbers are blank, takes about 10 secs to show numbers. This is my first 4runner so I dont know if this is normal for even the OEM sensors. No lights though!

    On the other note,
I am however very dissatisfied with Customs Offset Wheels customer service. My wheels were labeled as "guaranteed quick delivery" on the website. It didn't take too long to receive tracking number. However, on the day it was supposed to be delivered, estimated date on their website was changed to 10 days later. Also, I didnt receive delivery appt call from freight company.

I called customer service and they were explaining to me how "guaranteed quick delivery" is still an estimate depending on the freight company. I said from purchaser's point of view guaranteed means guaranteed. The guy said that's not how they view it. "There's nothing we can do..."

Long story short, I drove down 1 hour to pick up my wheels from roadrunner freight.

I understand freight company delivery is crazy these days, but then wheel companies knowing this shouldnt use the word "guaranteed".
this is just me ranting... but wanted to share so that someone using them is aware of the delivery issue.

Btw, I got an estimate from Discount Tires for the same set up, and it was actually about $50 cheaper......without couple weeks of waiting.. also the black lug nuts they offered (i didnt know i was paying for them until I saw invoice, $50!) do not include locks, which means I need to purchase lug nuts again to protect my investment..

I decided not to go with SD wheels (Custom offsets) at first it seemed like it was a good idea. The guys on the phone was very helpful, but follow up was as not quick and consistent. It just didn’t feel Right so I got tires and wheels locally. Custom offset freight was almost 1k to ship over sea so it was about the same price locally.
As far as sensors I may go with what is supplied with wheels in stead of OEM. They are using smart sensors.
Does anyone know if the sensors can be programmed from the steering wheel on the 2022? I thought I read somewhere it could or is it just for OEM sensors?
