I've all but written off this mod due to over-popularity and laughable price.. but I was looking around out of curiosity yesterday for Black Friday / Cyber Monday prices..

Is it just me, or did this thing actually go up in price?! I was calculating just under $500 shipped a few months back, but now it looks like Toyota raised the MSRP another $50 or so for both parts combined?? Or am I crazy.

The two parts at the links listed in post #1 have the total at $401.51 before shipping...I can't imagine shipping to be that much for 2 pieces of plastic...but I could be wrong.

Some Toyota parts websites, like those for a lot of other products, try to rip people off. If buyers are stupid enough to go for it.

I'm in the same boat, looking for one to replace my stock venture 2021 grill. Yes, the same one listed for 2020 fits the 2021. The reason for the difference between 19 and 20 + was the inclusion of the lane assist tech (that square thing on the bottom grill). Other than that the widths and curves are the same, they just added an extra gaped area on the bottom for the radar.

My biggest hangup at this point is do I do after market or not...I just am having a hard time paying 400 for 2 pieces of plastic, let alone 200 that cart offers. Its not like its going to make a difference on the trade in value (I would probably just make it stock again anyway). A person on the street wont be able to tell (no one is going to walk up and start inspecting your grill to see if the plastic is the right texture...well maybe some of the people on this forum, but not normal sane people).

I'm also planning on faux-pro-ing my venture a little...that extra 200 savings could go towards my front pro skid plate..

@kyle50 can confirm the 2020 and 2021 are the same.

Bringing this thread back to life in the hopes that someone who's done this mod still has their oem Toyota 'T' upper grille, wants to be rid of it, and wouldn't mind sending it my way, on my dime. I have a project I'd really like a spare for.

I also have a couple of trade possibilities if you want something for it.

    Thanks.

I like the Toyota Pro garnish but now since so many 4Runners have them, I think the stock emblem is is starting to be the unique one.

Does anyone know if the 2020-2021 heritage grill parts would work on a 2018 ?
