New from North Carolina

We will be looking for a new 4 Runner during 2023 to replace our Tacoma. Joined here to start learning more about 4 Runners, never owned one before, but have purchased 4 Toyota pickups in the past. We spend lots of time in the NC mountains when weather permits. We enjoy camping in the the NC mountains, too.

 

Welcome you will find a lot of good information here. There may or may not be big changes for 2023 model year so some may encourage you to look at an old school 22 in case Toyota changes it for 23; either way welcome

Welcome! If you enjoyed owning a Tacoma, you’re gonna love the 4Runner.

I miss my 2017 Tacoma, but have no regrets trading in for the 4Runner.

Im not sure what the 2023 model will be like, but the 5th Gen has been solid so far!

 

If you’re looking for the 23 look real hard at the tundra and sequoias since that’s an almost guarantee of how the 4Runners going to come aesthetically and performance wise.

We really like the 2003 Tacoma and looking forward to a new 4Runner. Just purchased a 2022 SR5 Tundra for towing a 5000 pound travel trailer. Really like the new Tundra, too! Looking forward to seeing the new 2023 4Runner.

Looks beautiful there. Only ~75 miles from me. That would be awesome. You by chance near the Charlotte area? I am up near Hickory side.

 

If you're not in any hurry to buy, I would definitely wait to see what 2023 brings before making a decision. You may want to go with the older model, or the new one may be amazing.

I know if I were in the market, I would definitely want to drive them both.

Will do! We are definitely waiting until 2023. We have always admired current and older older 4Runners!

 

Yeah that is a good place. Been twice. I also like Daddy K BBQ near Denver. They have good Habanero bbq sauce.

 

Going to check them out, have not been there, yet. Always looking for good BBQ!
