Looking to get some new shoes for my 4Runner.

Thinking BF Goodrich KO2's or Toyo r/t? Other tire you would reccomnend? This is my daily driver and Off Road toy.

Any reccommendations on 3in lift would be helpful as well. I'm new to this. I want something nice, but I don't need anything too fancy.

Nice but not fancy do not describe the ko2 or R/T. Both are high end tires.

I recommend Nitto (any), but more specifically I really like what they have done with the ridge grapplers.

I run BF KO2s or KM2s on my trucks. Id recommend BF Goodrich.

Check out the Falken AT3W's. Just bought a set. Excellent price and have excellent reviews.

They also come in standard load range (which is rare for a 33" tire) so you can save some weight i.e. acceleration and gas mileage.

+1 Falkens. That's what I"m going with when my stock tires goes. KO2s are nice, and they were what I originally wanted but I've since moved toward the Wildpeaks in preference.

Any of those listed are great choices.

picked up a set at discount tire. ordered these yesterday and came in this morning. the P rated tire rides much better than my E 10 ply's. So far i like them, not terribly noisy and it does really well in the rain. i'll update these again when i put some miles on them.

I like the sidewalls on the Wildpeaks. Looks good on the truck.

I've seen some other posts on here/other blogs regarding the tire sizes. Starting from a stock 4runner...(I have a '16 Pro)....and plan to do about a 2" lift. Seems the posting consensus re max tire size without rubbing inner wheel wells at max steerage limit is 285s which are about 11.25" width. I would like to go slightly wider with 305/70/17s which are same diameter/side wall height as 285/75/17s but are 3/4" wider at about 12" wide. Any bottom line insight on tire widths and what will/won't rub. Gather from reading through the posts.....285s are about max width on 5G 4runner without rubbing unless do some other mods other than just lift (and believe lift just gives some circumference clearance, but won't do much/anything for width clearance).
I had a 4th gen prior to current vehicle and was getting slight rubbing inner wheel well with 285s and had about a 2" lift.

i paid 158 per tire which is a better price than the BFG's. But i really got them for the P ratings. i still have my 10 ply mickey thompsons, when i go wheeling i just switch them over.

mine mickey thompson's were rubbing. they were 285/70/17, -12mm offset and 12 inches wide. Had to do a cab mount chop and trim a bit of the driver's side inner fender.
