None. Bone Stock. EXCEPT: Brushguard, tow hitch, both welded to the frame. It's good to have friends and a fully equipped garage!
I had to quit drinking long ago. I got lost trying to go a half block home one day, and wound up 8 blocks away, walking the middle of the road singing at the top of my lungs. The cop was nice enough to bring me home. When I woke up, I decided it was time to stop. Now, I have diabetes, so the majority of drinking is OUT for me anyway.

Now, I might take a couple of sips of Jim Beam once or twice a year. My birthday, New Years, and so on. That's it. I have a fifth I bought 17 years ago. Still well above 1/3.

    Have fun, all!

Well, I am currently deployed so I am unable to partake in such libations, but I would love to be sipping on a nice Macallan single malt scotch!

Been there, done that, didn't like it.
By the time I deployed, I had quit drinking. I got lost trying to walk 1/2 block home from a party. Broad daylight. Cop grabbed me walking down the middle of a 4 lane road, there in Yuma, singing at the top of my lungs. Thankfully he took me home, not to jail. When I woke up, my head splitting, and my (now) ex wife mad at me, I decided to give up alcohol.

Nowadays I may not drink, anyway. Diabetes is a *&^(). I may take a sip of Jim Beam once in a great while, but that's iit.

You could do what the troops in the barracks did on our far east dets. Buy a bottle of Nyquil and guzzle it down before going somewhere for a night on the town. Apparently, it's a big party starter. Gets you well on the way. Then, if you can get even a couple of the local beers, You're in real good shape :D

Have fun, all, whatever you drink, or don't drink :)

    Hey Pat,

I am Not a big drinker. While I do love a few beers here and there, or a nice scotch to sip on, I no longer have that desire to get drunk or intoxicated. As I get older, it just sucks trying to recover… Lol

but I will get the chance to enjoy a few drinks while I’m home on leave during Christmas. A glass or two of wine with the wife, a nice scotch in front of the fireplace, or sometimes just enjoying my life without the desire for a drink at all.

regardless, I think this is a fun thread and I hope everyone is enjoying their drinks and being safe in the process!

I, for one, have no issues getting intoxicated. Bring it on ! However, I don’t have any issues the next day. My secret? Never mix them up. No issues waking up without any headaches, grogginess, tiredness or you name it. One single shot in between those beers and I am screwed the next day.

My problem is that when I start drinking I don't stop. Not until I'm absolutely hammered. Then I stagger off someplace, heave my guts out, and usually pass out.
I always wake up the next day with a splitting hangover headache. Just generally feel totally wiped.

Worst I ever did was when I first got to Yuma, back in 80. I went to a dive bar near the base. It was within walking distance.
Some guy challenged me to a shot contest. Tequila. I remember seeing him slide down under the table, so I know I won.
I woke up the next morning in an orange grove across from the base. Far enough they couldn't see me. Or what I woke up next to. I could NOT believe what I had done, if I had done it. It was coyote ugly. I thought I'd need to chew an arm off to get away without waking it up.
I got away, somehow, staggered over to the front gate of the base, told the guards to NOT let anything following me on base, heaved my guts up onto the guard shack, and staggered off for the barracks. From then on, the MPs on base hated me, strangely enough. It became a tradition, I understand. If you see this guy, give him the worst time you possibly can, type thing.
Really got awkward when I got assigned as an instructor on the rifle/pistol ranges. Especially with the WMs (Woman Marines) that we had to qualify when the Corps decided they needed to qual just like the men, started showing up in droves. Up till then, they didn't need to qual. The Corps is really conservative. Every WM MP looked like she wanted to brain me with her baton, they really did.

At least I got away! I never went to that bar again, I'll tell you that. Tequila gives me a blinding hangover, too. Never drank it again...

    Sorry. I ramble.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that, essentially, a boilermaker?
I know, with a true, honest-to-goodness boilermaker you drop the shot into the beer in a glass, then drink down the beer as fast as you can, but really, a shot and a beer is a boilermaker in my mind.

Reminds me of that George Thorogood song about "1 scotch, 1 bourbon, and 1 beer..."

    Enjoy!

Funny that you mention that song, because I tried some bourbon last weekend that I want to add to my collection.

I think you're right about boilermakers. But, I prefer to enjoy my whiskey. :D
