So, I know not a new issue and has been covered many time, I have read most of them researching my issue: tailgate window wouldn't go up or down from either front switch or key, defrost and wiper also didn't work. Weird thing is power lock, license plate light worked.

So took the cover off the inside of the liftgate and just started checking connections (after confirming all fuses we OK in both fuse boxes). The big multi plug that went into this big orange box (the Tailgate Power Window Relay and Harness 85930-35060) had a loose connector. pushed it back in and BOOM, now everything works. I know this won't be the case for most, but amazingly simple in this case. I have to say that for a 23 year old rig, mine is in very good shape. Worth a try. VR
