So I’m guessing your keeping it? I was going to start an auction for you.

I was only going to invite myself to it though.

Wait, aren’t all the upcoming electric trucks “domestic”?

More than a few people agree with 4Runners.com - Toyota passed GM in total vehicles sold in the USA for 2021...

Tundra only the brand label "Toyota" is not domestic right? Including engine & transmission it is right? Even though its well made as far as I see, no long term experience though.

By domestics I mean headquartered in the US/Canada. Toyota is based in Japan. The big 3.
Since you bring this up, it is impressive what people can build whereas GM/FCA/Ford keep failing for decades. Same American/Canadian workers, same production line, same rules, same market.

Now show me the sheet how much GM is built in China and how much in the USA. That’s gotta be a good one. Example:
The Buick Envision is a compact crossover SUV manufactured by General Motors. It is exclusively manufactured in China by the SAIC-GM joint venture, supplying the domestic market and the North American market.

Built in China and sold at US prices. Profitable venture they got there. Guess where the quality is.
Which one would you buy ?

Domestics = the big 3 FCA, GM, Ford. Am I that old ??? Tesla is domestic, sure, but Tesla did in 10 years what these 3 didn’t do in 115 years, by collectively lighting up the fuse on their tampons. Tesla also sucks balls at fit and finish, it’s a total mess, but it’s the best EV on the market so far. Hyundai, VW, all joining the party. I would not by a Ford, that’s for sure. I’d rather drive a Prius before I buy another GM/FCA/Ford vehicle.

Exactly! I'm done messing around. I also like the Burb and Tahoe but they are just getting to be too much in both price and size. Good luck fitting either of those in a typical garage. For that kind of scratch go find a Land Cruiser. I traded a crew cab GMC for my T4R and don't regret it a single bit. I have no plans to part ways with the T4R ever. I wish I would have gotten one 20 years ago. Could have saved a fortune.

    All of them.
I’ll throw my two cents in here since I just sold one of our two 4Rs. In todays market you will get the most you’ll ever get for the 4R. For instance I sold mine stripped and returned to stock minus front and rear bumpers, wheels and and tires for roughly 12k more than I paid for it with 25325 miles on it.

If you’re in a good financial decision where you can afford to sell and then buy a new vehicle then go for it. If you absolutely hate your decision you can buy another 4R and you know what you’ll be getting in the long run. I was fortunate that both our 4Rs were paid for so I was in all actually making money in my purchase and walked away with zero financed and money in my pocket on the new vehicle. (This is a rare occurrence so don’t expect that to happen). Lastly if it makes you happy then go for it. I am Toyota guy and I’ve had Toyota for the last 13 years. But I just wanted to try something different this to around. In 25k I may say to my wife what was I thinking this thing is a pos I want a tundra,4r etc.

End of the day, what do you want? I have a couple friends with rams and they love them. Interior is absolutely beautiful and they sound fantastic. They come with a warranty, so you will have some time if something comes up. As long as it is a few year old design, go test drive one and see what you think.

I LOVE the ram, but the 4Runner fits my needs more….and yes, it is slow as hell. You have to live with your decision, not us. Get what you like and enjoy.

My 2018 4Runner is still faster than my GFs 2015 CRV by quite a bit. It’s not “that” slow.

CRV is right there next to 4Runner when it comes to running forever.
