Can the safe in my console be removed

    Remove carpet from the bottom of the safe, remove two bolts. Slide safe out.

    I think the safe is a dealer or port add on. I just ordered a '22 ORP with a few accessories, the safe was an option, but I did not get it.

    Nice. Makes no difference to me. Trusting a pop can metal safe to lock up your weapons? How about just don’t leave it in there at all.

    the intended use-case of a center console vehicle safe is NOT extended storage. it's for when you have to run into the post office, your kid's school, or any place that has a metal detector and no weapons policy. it's a much better alternative than the glove box or map pocket. it's also useful in some instances for interstate travel in states that require a weapon be kept in a locked compartment separate from ammunition.
