I’m getting a 2022 4Runner TRD off-road premium with the new blind spot monitoring. Anyone know a rear bumper that’s compatible with it?

Ooo good question. I saw a pic of those blindspot sensors and they were not small. I would imagine they wouldnt be able to ping through steel, so an aftermarket bumper would probably need to have holes for it, depending on how high they are mounted on the plastic bumper cover. I could imagine all sorts of calibration needed if they are moved.

If the sensors are mounted high, a steel bumper that keeps the upper portion of the stock bumper cover might work as-is. Totally spitballing here though.

I pulled my rear bumper off to wrap my valence when I got my 2022. The sensors are pretty low on the corners so this might be a tricky problem to solve.

thanks! Well this kinda sucks… let me know if you find a good solution. I’m not looking for anything crazy with swing outs or anything. Just want protection from rock ledges.
