Very first mod on a 2019 ORP that I got this week. Stuck on Velcro on the bottom of the cup insert to prevent it from coming off. Seems to work so far, but will see if the velcro will stay on!

Got it dirty for the second time in Lucerne Valley, CA along with my neighbor's new Bronco. Bronco has 100 miles on it and the 4R cracked 1,000 on the way back home. So much for "break in period". It was a blast. IMG_2084.jpg IMG_2098.jpg

Put my money where my mouth is (preaching the protection of wool wax) and drove a few hundred miles in freshly applied brine and salt road spray after last night’s snow storm.

Also bought new wipers for the front. Because after 10 months they are no good for cold weather.

The rear needs replacing too, but like any other toyota, information on size and replacement of rears is some sort of dark secret

I gave my 4R a nice wash and wax after spending a few days in the snow. It is looking good!

I got mine for 4 runner lifestyle, now those little cubbies are actually usable which is quite nice on long road trips!.

as for myself, I got to finally test out the General Grabbers and the 4 Runner in the snow we got in seattle this past week.

If RCI has not added holes to the bottom of their shock skids yet, I would recommend making some holes yourself before they rust up your shock mounting points.

Please, for the love of god. Stay indoors. Or take a five gallon gas can, blocks of cheese, or quarts of milk. To help all the other dumb a$$es on the road.

Pinstripes, lots of em. Plus a couple dents.
When I lived / worked in the Chicago area, I'd frequently get calls from my boss telling me to not come in (because of snow) and work from home. My reply was - too late, I'm already in the parking lot.

4wd + snow = fun. As long as you don't get crunched by the other morons.

Shortly after joining the Navy it snowed in Norfolk Va. I am from St. Louis so snow is just cold rain. I drive my little car to the base and walk to the ship and they tell me it is duty section only. I asked why and the OOD looked at me and said the snow I laughed and when he said if I did not leave I would be on duty until it melted I hot-footed it back home lol.

Finished my install on my 2013.
    Dobinson 300 front coils
    Dobinson 599 rear coils
Bilstein 5100’s at the stock setting (no preload).

I don’t have accurate measurements yet as the snow on the driveway needs to melt to its level. But visually I am stoked and the ride quality is really good just on my quick test drive after install today.

my TRD PRO wheels are on backorder and should be here in a few weeks. 275/70’s will go on when these wear out.

I am sure I’ll get comments on the rear bushing not being tight enough. I followed the placement to the specs of bilstein and the nuts are all the way tight to the end of the threads. No noise on the speed bumps I tested and shocks don’t move at all. maybe bilstein changed something with the latest addition of their 5100’s? They included additional alignment washers now that didn’t exist when I had my 4th gen 4 years ago.

Added a JLT catch can. I'm not expecting much in returns but it was fairly cheap. Later when I supercharge, it will keep oil gunk out of the intercooler.

I personally like to replace the entire rear wiper arm, instead of just the insert. Part number: 85242-25050

If you want to just replace the insert, Part Number: 85213-42040

You can always sell those suckers on Offer up, if they are newer, $300 should be easy, I got $300 for mine and went right to my wildpeaks.

That is a good thought! did you sell wheels and tires with them or just the tires for $300?

Nope, the original SR5 wheels will forever remain in the garage (In the TRD boxes lol), if my vehicle is ever totaled, I want to pull off my rims, and have the SR5 rims wrapped with used tires from the hood lol.

Just had a friend's Jeep get totaled when field mice made a fire in the engine compartment. He tried in vain to pull off as much stuff as he could from the vehicle before the insurance company towed it away and wrote an estimate.

Got a chance to use various 4WD modes in the heavy foot of snow we have here in Southern MD. This thing is so flawless. I was able to get over the "snow boulder 3 ft high walls" of snow plow throw-offs with zero problems. I'm impressed.

Yes. I think all 22 pros come with those unless there's a one-off upgrade available... and I tend to agree after today. It was much easier than my previous 4x4s in the snow.

Same tire that is stock on the 2021 Pro. Homeboy GenoBluzGtr got the snow this go around. We are usually blessed with the greater snowfall to the west of DC. Barely a dusting here in Urbana (Frederick County, MD).
