So I'm new to the lift kit/suspension world. I'm curious what the typical price is to install a Bilstein 5100 kit all around with spacer in the rear. I'm providing the parts, they finally arrived in the mail.

Ive gone to various shops to get some quotes (With alignment), and various shops are charging $750-850. I found one shop that will do it for 550 so they say. They seemed a little bit sketchy with slow responses, rude, and refusing to answer questions.

Is this the typical price range to get the kit installed. The Kit and Spacer cost me ~450. So I'm almost paying double what I paid for to get it installed, I just want to be sure. I'm currently in Houston if that matters.

*I would do it myself, because I believe if I'm going to be installing after market parts I should be able to repair it on my own. But I dont have the equipment and definitely mechanic knowledge to do it.

High end dealer in my area quoted about $700 labor front and rear so pretty close. I'm still checking around as well.

Welcome to the Forum from Texas.

I had my entire lift done in a Body shop (Dobinsons IMS59-50700 shocks - coils C59-302 Front - Dobinsons shocks IMS59-50705 - Coils C59-505 Rear) , paid $490 alignment tax everything included. You should be able to get this done around $350.

It's not that hard to do, you need to rent a coil compressor. Most likely a lot of video's on YouTube how to. If you know someone who is a bit mechanical inclined even better.

I was just quoted 1010 bucks for a Fox 2.0 front and back plus rear 1 inch spacer…this includes an alignment. This is one of the highest rated shops in my area.

Wow. That's insanely expensive to me. If I (a moron) was able to install my own by myself in a day in my garage in about 6 hours, I figure a shop with a lift and the correct tools and experience should be about to do it in 2-3 hours. Even at $200 / hour that's still way off from what they're charging.

Yeah…i got the feeling they didn’t want to do this install or want my business. The guy on the phone said it may take up to 3 days…worst case. This is the highest rated truck customs shops in my area…they have tons of lift pictures on their site and YouTube channel…what could possibly happen that they haven’t seen before? I wouldn’t think 4Runners are ridiculously unique in that sense…
