We don’t even the 1 hour commute, and it just doesn’t make $ense to have 2 of 2 vehicles that you need to go down hill to see 20 mpgs. So we dumped we 4Runner and kept the taco, with the understanding the taco would be replaced by a 4runner to build.

To be honest I've looked at Toyota & Lexus AWD sedans few times for the mpg but the trouble going up my driveway with AWD vehicles on heavy snow days discourage me getting rid of 4WD and getting another AWD vehicle. I really love the drive comfort and less road noise on ES350 and now they have AWD option is very tempting. As a music lover I like the Mark Levinson sound system for my taste of music. Some of the hybrid AWD options offered by Toyota & Lexus are very tempting too.

this, and they keep their $60k+ car maintenance price tag. People forget this a lot. They buy their $13k used e46 M3 expecting it to be cheap, but forget it is still a $60k car and the maintenance will reflect it. I had 220k miles on my e46 when I sold it. Never had a single issue with it. But maintenance was a car payment every month. That did not count gas or insurance. I will say that it was a blast to drive though.
