    I have looked at the spec sheet but could not find if the backup lights for the 2022 TRD Sport are LEDs'. Can somebody help me out? Thanks.

    Not sure is anything changed on 2022 but as show below when I upgraded my 4Runners from 2017-2021 they were the same 912 921 led bulbs;

    I can confirm that the tail lights are the same as all 4Runners from 2014 to 2022. Its a basic 921 bulb. If your looking for a better output, do the Diode Dynamics turn as reverse mod and change both bulbs to white led.

    The Diode Dynamics LED bulbs are the exact bulbs I am looking at. Just wanted to confirm first because they are not cheap. Thanks for the info.

    Sorry, im actually referring to the mod, not bulbs. This is to utilize the turn signals as reverse lights in addition to the original ones giving more light output especially after swapping both bulbs to led. The brake light then becomes tail, brake and turn signal.

    I personally would not spend $45-$90 on 921 bulbs. Lasfit bulbs works just as good and for a fraction of the cost.

    Pinstripes, lots of em. Plus a couple dents.
    I have these 720 Lumen LED reverse lights in my 4Runner. They are not vehicle specific.
    They are super bright and work great for closing the farm gate on my private road at night.

    You will need to bend out the metal prongs on the bulb. I 1st tried just sticking them in there. They fell out almost immediately. Requiring me to remove the tail light housing and fish out the bulbs.

    I then bent each prong (2) out away from the bulb to get them to lock into the sockets on my 4Runner. They have been fine since.

    Another vote for the tail as turn module paired with LED bulbs.
