I remember when we had these things called dealerships where you could buy new cars and trucks.

    Those were the days.

I hope this is a temporary thing. By the time the car is delivered, I would change my mind about what I wanted!

According to Motor Trend, they did not talk about delivery much, but the Tundra seems to really 'want' to compete with the Ford. Competition is good, it keeps manufacturers on their toes, maybe trying to make 'better' vehicles. Would be nice to see more available though.

The chip shortage is supposedly easing.

Toyota themselves said all their plants would be back to 100% production rates by December.

Certainly there will be some lag time when it comes to shipping and getting vehicles to the lots.

Then there will be all the pent up demand snatching up all the new vehicles coming in for a while.

Won't be the new norm. Manufacturing will catch up with demand, eventually. It always does. Probably by the end of next year.

The new Tundra will still be in HIGH demand ... the grill looks to take after the 4Runner, but on steroids !

.. like it all besides added hood length, will be interesting if they offer a v8 again in the future like Ford will be doing with the raptor.

One interior dislike ... the copycat orange stripe on steering wheel (TRD PRO)

Who cares? This never shows everything anyway.
Yeah. I'm here just babying my PC and PS4 Pro (mostly for movies/streaming these days) until all of this blows over.

I highly doubt prices will come down like they were initially. They will just produce less vehicles.

I believe, that all will be according to the evolution of the pandemic. Sure, I believe that manufactories & supply-chain have learned to work much better with the ongoing problems; hence, to me it looks like that this is far from over.

Back on the manufacturing schedule. Who knows when there will actually be more cars on dealer lots for sale.

I drove to my local dealer today. Normally the lot is full of ~200 cars, and it’s hard to find a parking spot to get to the parts department. Today there were about 15 cars all parked parallel to the street to make it look more full as you drive by.

Well, they start producing more before there can be extra on the lots. Basically yota is going to fill the void left by other auto makers before we see inventory on the lots. Once others getting going again, then lots may become parking lots again.

As soon as they start shipping them over. The tundras are not really a hot item outside NA, we are their biggest customers when it comes to full size trucks, in these numbers.
As for how they look, I like the exterior looks and I love the interior. Too bad I cant afford the red seats, those look dope.

3.5? Awesome engine. Plenty of power. Much more efficient and more powerful than the V8. Technology made it far enough to make "there is no replacement for displacement" an outdated statement. They know their market very well. If you are really towing, like 8k-10k lb, you are most likely to go into a 3/4 ton truck, which they dont sell. For anything under that, the 3.5 will do just fine.
Personally, id rather get a turbo from Toyota than a V8 from any domestics.

That is pretty much what my local dealer looks like too. They announce that they have 5 Tundras coming within the next 2 weeks.
