Tire chains - what's the difference between these two?

    Thought I'd put this in the tire forum, since, it's tire related.

    Not everyone thinks they need chains, so, if this doesn't apply to you, feel free to pass on by and ignore this thread.

    If you're a chain user on your 4R, can you tell me what's the difference between the Laclede Sport Light Truck and Super Sport lines of tire chains?

    Can't find my old v-bar chains, so, looking around for replacements. (and yeah, I have found them useful with 4x4 and locking diffs).

    I changed some lights, tires and tinted windows...mind blowing huh

    one is class "S" and one is class "U" and about 7 lbs. per pair difference, I don't know anything about them but I found this:

    Yeah I saw the weight difference, but missed the part about U and S class. Super helpful, thanks for jumping in!

    Pinstripes, lots of em. Plus a couple dents.

    From my owner's manual, Toyota recommends 5mm chains.

    Looking online I see 4.5mm and 5.5mm chains.

    I'd probably go with 4.5mm carried by Walmart.

    The Super Sport chains I mentioned above are 4.6mm chains. Also, no to Walmart.
