I am new to this forum. I have stock 2017 TRD Off Road. Looking to do a modest lift, new rims, maybe 18 inch and tires. 90 % of the year, completely suburban and interstate driving. 10% hunting, mud, maybe snow. I have a budget and don't want to turn this into an endless project.

what’s your budget? Tires and wheels add up the price quickly. If you want easy and cheap, spacers. If you want something that’ll improve the handling and nose dive when braking, full suspension lift which can range from $800-endless possibilities.

Wheels and tires are completely subjective, depending on preferred look and tire size and type. Best budget lift is going to be Billstein 5100's on stock springs. Rear will stay the same but you can go up the 2" or so needed to level it out and get rid of the front rake. What size tires are you wanting?

OME is a good option. There’s someone on here who is a dealer for OME and has good feedback, can’t remember his username. The smaller the tire you go with, the worse the ride gets. No advantage of going to an 18 inch wheel versus stock 17 inch size.

If you're on a budget, I'd definitely stick with stock wheels then, and spend the money saved on a functional mod, such as spending more on a quality suspension.

The more tire sidewall the better. I would stick with 17” rims. Plus my guess is that you will have more tire choices too.

The stock TRD rims are supposed to be really good. I’m not crazy about how they look but that’s just me.

One guy on this forum painted his and they turned out really nice.
