Is anyone here using wheeler's bump stops?

I just recently installed them on my 5th gen and so far these things have been pretty great. I installed the front and the rear's. I was wondering if anyone installed the spacers? They're quite a bit larger than the stock bump stops and they really do eat the bumps, but I was wondering if they're strong enough to eat the hard hits. I don't exacltly drive fast off road, but on occasion when climbing you come down hard.

Does it actually make a difference in daily driving and does it soften up the hit when you hit poles and dips ? I already have the Toytec drop bracket/spacer for the rear that came with the lift kit. Now contemplating if I should I switch out the front as well.

Yes it does actually. My wife actually noticed when we were going over speedbumps at how it helps eat them up, and I'm not one who drives fast over those types of things. There's around an inch of clearance between the bump and the LCA, so just about anything will cause it to make contact with the bump stop. So far I'm impressed.

I have them, and I’m not easy on my rig by any means. They’ve held up nicely, and gives a piece of mind to not blow out a shock on potholes or uneven terrain. And I run 5100’s in the front so not the best in terms of suspension:D I haven’t replaced the rears yet though, still running stock.

Not sure but do these transfer the force of the hit to other components of your suspension..because of the limited travel distance?

It’s a big sponge essentially. It’s meant to help prevent blowing out your shocks. There’s hydraulic ones that Baja rigs use but those are for extreme use.

Anybody know how much taller bumpstops would affect articulation?

Do you they wear out after a while?

Just like anything else, they’ll need replacing at some point. I haven’t ran into much trouble with articulation, the tires hit the fenders before I run into issues with the LCA and bumpstop. Your articulation is dependent on your suspension too, if you’re on stock or standard travel shocks you probably won’t have issues.
