Last week I had to bring home some supplies from a big box home improvement store and had to secure the pipes to the roof rack. When I had my Tacoma it was no big deal with regular ratchet strap tie downs. I don't plan on changing the standard roof rack out to the regular TRD one. This was my first time trying to secure a load on the rood and couldn't really get an ideal grip with the hooks on my straps. What do you use to secure a roof load that will attach to the side rails and cross bars?IMG_20211128_142708913.jpg IMG_20211128_142817330.jpg

Same problem here. Had a hell of a time securing sh!t up there. Look forward to others tips.

i am however hoping to get a roof rack at some point… other priorities with funds right now with two kids in college, christmas and such. Bigger hurdle is wife understanding why a brand new nearly $50k vehicle needs a $1,000 device to replace what it already has….

I'd have great success with creating a loop of rope and just hooking your stuff to that. I'm struggling to explain, but like an axle strap.
