Toyota Connected Services Not Working

    It’s been acting finicky lately on every iOS device I have. Everything’s updated and the app itself notifies me that things are a little screwy right now (see attached), and every time to try to enter my email and password, it says it sending me a text message but instead send me an email with a 6-digit two-factor authentication code. But the app never gives me a chance to enter it because it gets hung up and there is nowhere to enter said code.

    Ugh. I love the convenience when it works, but why can’t they get this right?

    Moreover, I’m paying for this?

    Of course, every email I have received from connected services is donotreply@.

    Try using your mobile number instead of email. Maybe reboot phone too.

    Turns out it was Toyota's issue; they updated the app and it started to work again.

    The wifey has a Lexus and that app is complete garbage with her new vehicle and it was garbage with her last one. In fact it probably got worse she says. She wrote them and bitched on more than one occasion and said she’ll be going “all Karen” again its so frustrating.

    because if her experiences i told em no thanks not paying for your ill functioning tech.

    Im guessing they are put together and ran by the same yahoo’s given its the same corporation and duplicating platforms independent would be ridiculous.

    Makes me wonder… does anybody from Toyota pay attention to what people say on forums…

    Sometimes I miss the ease and distance of the app. Then I learned the under the chin trick and now I'm glad I dod an aftermarket system.
